The power couple was even seen taking a train while in the UK. Markle and her husband are participating in what has been shaping to look like a mini royal tour.
On Monday, Markle dazzled and attracted criticism with her headline-making speech in Manchester at the One Young World 2022 summit.
Tuesday, the duo traveled to Germany, where a large crowd greeted them as Prince Harry spoke at the Invictus Games Düsseldorf 2023 One Year to Go event.
Markle and Prince Harry’s every word, move, and decision is scrutinized by the media and royal observers.
One decision that sparked fury was Prince Harry and Markle’s rejection of Prince Charles‘s invitation to stay in Scotland at Balmoral during Queen Elizabeth II‘s summer retreat.
However, it seems there is more to the story of Prince Charles’s grand gesture toward Prince Harry and Markle.
Some royal observers note that Prince Harry and Markle did not reject Prince Charles. It was the other way around.
Others believe that Prince Charles saw the trip as an opportunity to make himself look magnanimous by claiming that he reached out when there is a possibility he did not.
A source spoke to The Mirror and revealed that Prince Charles, while hurt, had decided to ignore the interviews and bombshells and reached out to the couple with an olive branch.
The royal insider claimed: “He hasn’t wavered, despite the attacks, which seem to be coming with increased vigor. The Prince of Wales reiterated his invitation for Harry and Meghan, and the whole family, if they wished, to come and stay with him this summer while he is at his home on the Balmoral estate. He thought it might be a good opportunity for everyone to take stock and relax, but the invitation was declined.”
However, it now seems that Prince Charles was trying to have it both ways with Prince Harry and Markle, and he failed.
Another royal insider spoke to The Daily Beast and revealed that Prince Charles, much like Prince William, has taken the decision to shut Markle and Prince Harry out until the tell-all book is published.
The royal source claimed that Prince Charles did not have plans to meet with Prince Harry and Markle during their visit to the UK.
It is claimed that Prince Charles took the decision to freeze the pair out after Markle’s latest bombshells in The Cut.
The Daily Beast revealed: “Charles adores Harry and would like nothing better than to get the relationship sorted. But a meeting next week is unlikely. Everything was already on hold until they saw what was in Harry’s book, but if Meghan is actively threatening to reveal further secrets and telling interviewers, ‘I haven’t signed anything, I can say anything I want,’ then it’s not surprising they are being frozen out.”
Most observers say the future King of England does not come out looking good after these revelations.
