The truth about Prince Harry‘s upcoming book is out, and it is not good news for the likes of King Charles III and Prince William.
The Duke of Sussex has been writing the memoir for more than a year and had plans to release it in the fall or winter of 2022.
The publishing company wanted to wait until after Queen Elizabeth II‘s Platinum Jubilee out of respect and saturate the holiday season market.
However, the passing of The Queen threw a wrench in the plan, and it has been revealed that Meghan Markle‘s husband is now eyeing Easter 2023 for the release of the book.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and King Charles were all under the illusion that progress had been made during their visit and extended stay in London for the Queen’s funeral.
However, now that they have returned to California, it is business as usual. Both sides are leaking wild stories about the other.
Earlier this week, reports surfaced claiming that Prince Harry had requested meetings upon meetings to revise a big chunk of the tell-all book.
The former soldier felt that some revelations and intimate truths might be hurtful to King Charles, Queen Consort Camilla, Prince William, and Kate Middleton and wanted them modified or removed.
However, according to a royal expert, the changes that Prince Harry is hoping for will not be accepted by the bosses who paid him several millions of dollars for a best seller.
King Charles also knows the truth, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry cannot amend the book, and he is bracing for the Easter storm that is about to hit the royal family.
Tom Bower, who wrote Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors, told Page Six: “I think that everybody knows that the Sussexes can’t amend the book in any way. Can they make it nastier? Because otherwise, we wouldn’t get sales.”
Bower, like many experts in the royal and publishing fields, believes that the book will be available in the spring of next year, just weeks before the most important day in King Charles’s life — his coronation ceremony.
It appears that Prince Harry and Markle will take the opportunity to sneak a few new chapters in the book that will deal with the funeral and the countless times they were snubbed or hurt by the royal clan.
The author shared: “Easter and will include in it a chapter on the [Queen’s] funeral. And there’ll just be more material about how they were snubbed and all the rest of the invective against the royal family. So I think to that extent, the delay will add to the poison.”
There is no turning back for the Sussexes.
