Prince William And Prince Harry Still Have One Big Thing In Common And It Will Not Please King Charles

Prince Harry William Meghan Markle Blame Security

Prince Harry and his brother, Prince William, have been at odds for a few years. The two siblings started drifting apart when the Duke of Sussex decided to marry Meghan Markle.

Kate Middleton‘s husband did not think it was the right move to get married quickly. Tension in the Royal Family continued to drive a wedge between them.

The Duke of Sussex made the conflict public in a 2019 interview with journalist Tom Bradby for the ITV News documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey.

Prince Harry told the journalist this about his older brother: “Part of this role and part of this job and this family being under the pressure that it’s under … stuff happens. But look, we’re brothers. We’ll always be brothers.”

He continued: “We’re certainly on different paths at the moment, but I will always be there for him, and as I know, he’ll always be there for me. We don’t see each other as much as we used to because we’re so busy, but I love him dearly. The majority of the stuff is created out of nothing but as brothers; it’s just as I said, you have good days, you have bad days.”

The comments hurt Prince William, and he reached out to his brother for a discussion. Prince Harry turned down the offer, and the situation kept getting more problematic.

“Megxit” and the bombshell interviews afterward made the damage almost irreparable. However, after the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, there has been a little glimmer of hope.

Prince William and Prince Harry put on a show of unity during the mourning period and reportedly tried their best to get along. However, things are cooling down again because he is very busy completing his book.

The so-called tell-all memoir is set to be released in early 2023. It is keeping the royals up at night because Prince Harry might revisit some embarrassing tales.

Royal expert Tom Bower says the book getting pushed back could mean more trouble for the monarchy. He explained: “I think that everybody knows that the Sussexes can’t amend the book in any way. Can they make it nastier? Because otherwise, we wouldn’t get sales.”

He continued about the book release: “Easter [release] and will include in it a chapter on the [Queen’s] funeral. And there’ll just be more material about how they were snubbed and all the rest of the invective against the royal family,” he adds. “So I think to that extent, the delay will add to the poison.”

One possible target for Prince Harry is Queen Consort Camilla, who is often blamed for his parents’ divorce. She is living in fear that he will go after her in the memoir.

This is something the two brothers might be able to bond over. Prince William still does not have the best relationship with his stepmother.

The future King of England does not want his children to call Camilla Parker Bowles “step-grandmother.”

Angela Levin says in her book Camilla: From Outcast to Queen Consort: “William nonetheless has made it clear that Camilla is the wife of his father, but not a step-grandmother to his children, and that Prince George, his sister Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis have two grandfathers, but only one grandmother.”

King Charles III might not appreciate the fact that there is so much distance between his wife and his two sons.
