The heir to the throne, Prince William, has decided that things will change after getting a new role in the British monarchy.

On September 8, King Charles III was proclaimed the new Sovereign after the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

Soon after, His Majesty delivered his first speech to the nation, announcing that his oldest son, Prince William, and daughter-in-law Kate Middleton were given the respective titles of Prince and Princess of Wales.

Prince William has quickly embraced the title and the responsibilities attached to it.

However, unlike his father, who held the title before him, Prince William rejects the fanfare and pageantry linked to it.

In 1969, Queen Elizabeth II held a lavish event at the Caernarfon Castle for the investiture ceremony of her son, who wore a massive robe, extravagant pieces of jewelry, and a multi-million dollar crown.

Prince William, who seems eager to slim down the monarchy more than his father, will not be having any grandiose celebrations.

A royal source told The Mirror there are “no plans for any kind of an investiture like the Prince’s father had.”

As the 22nd Prince of Wales has decided to say out with the old and in with the way of doing things.

Prince William will be working with only half of the staff that King Charles had when he held the title.

The future King is not only scaling down the monarchy but has taken a more modern and progressive approach to his role.

Prince William is ditching the strict business attire for his staff. In his new book Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown, Valentine Low revealed that Prince William told his staff “he wants to keep it casual.”

The royal expert shared: “The kids run around the office, and he does not want it to be stuffy. If we have important meetings or are going to Buckingham Palace, then, of course, we [wear suits]. It started with casual Fridays, but then William told them that if they did not have important people coming in for meetings, they could dress casually.”

Prince William has also ditched Queen Elizabeth’s longstanding “never complain, never explain” policy.

Royal observers believe Prince William now has the courage to enact changes within the monarchy because of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s renegade ways of kicking down barriers and questioning archaic traditions.

While Prince Harry and Markle paved the way for Prince William — he had no choice but to have a different approach and sensibility.

Earlier this year, Kate Middleton and Prince William took part in a royal tour in the Caribbean. They were left emotionally bruised after being confronted with England’s shameful past of enslaving people and colonies and benefiting from barbaric events.

Prince William and Kate Middleton, who have real power in the monarchy, vowed to enact changes after the humiliating trip.

A source told The Sun: “They were bruised by attacks that their Caribbean trip harked back to the colonial age. In the future, they will rip up the rule-book and do things ‘The Cambridge Way.’ They’re trying to work out what that will look like.”

Middleton and her spouse have also taken the decision to reach out to the people of Wales after being bestowed with the new titles.

A source told The Mirror: “Right now, the Prince and Princess of Wales are focused on deepening the trust and respect of the people of Wales over time.”

The couple announced via an official statement: “Their Royal Highnesses are looking forward to spending more time in Wales over the coming months and years, taking the time to strengthen their relationship with communities in all parts of Wales.”

In late September, the Prince and Princess of Wales traveled to Wales.
