Meghan Markle Throws Someone New Under The Bus Not To Offend King Charles And Camilla, The Queen Consort

Meghan Markle King Charles The Cut Interview Prince Harry

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made a lot of noise with a feature cover story in New York Magazine‘s The Cut in August.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex grabbed headlines for the snarky tone of their interview and the small digs directed at the British royal family.

A lot of things have changed in the past two months. With the death of Queen Elizabeth in September, the monarchy is less forgiving of this type of behavior.

King Charles III is doing his best to protect the image of the British monarchy, and the Sussexes will pay the price if they decide to tarnish the Royal Family.

The new Sovereign is holding on to the full titles of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s children — Archie and Lilibet.

The King has made it clear that the children will only get them if their parents avoid embarrassing the Royal Family through their various projects.

In her October cover story with Variety, Markle tried to clean up some of the damages caused by The Cut interview. The former actress has found an interesting line of defense; they were “too trusting” with the journalist.

Markle did not take full ownership of the debacle. Instead, she threw the reporter, Allison P. Davis, under the bus. The mother of two is hoping that King Charles will not hold the incident against them.

She told Variety writer Matt Donnelly: “The [New York] story was intended to support Archetypes and focus on our projects. I’ve had some time to reflect on it. Part of me is just really trusting, really open — that’s how I move in the world.”

The Palace is watching all these developments with a lot of interest. However, there is not much trust between the two sides. Markle says something neutral on one occasion, but she might go negative in the following interview.

Moreover, the Netflix docuseries will premiere in December, and many expect it to contain some juicy tidbits about the British royals.

Prince is still moving forward with his tell-all memoir for 2023. He is unlikely to revisit major events of his life without sharing his thoughts on his father, King Charles, stepmother Camilla, Queen Consort, and his brother, Prince William.

The truth bombs will be there one way or the other. Some say Markle might be trying to be tactical by not showing her hands. This will increase the element of surprise for the different projects.

Other observers claim that if the Sussexes did not want some of the comments out, why even make them in the first place? Critics say they should own more of their mistakes.

While the media personality is trying not to offend King Charles now, she will probably have to do it later to advance the empire that she and her husband are trying to build.
