Prince Harry is said to be counting the weeks before the release of his first book.
The California-based royal did not dip his pen into writing fiction. He opted for a tell-all book that would cover aspects of his life.
Meghan Markle‘s husband promised readers access to his life like never before.
Millions will be able to follow his unbelievable journey from Buckingham Palace to operational tours of Afghanistan as a pilot and eventually settling down in California with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children, Archie and Lilibet Diana.
If Prince Harry talks about his life and shares his truths, it will be impossible for him not to mention the people who played significant roles in it.
That implies he will bring up some intimate moments that he shared with his father, King Charles III, his late mother, Princess Diana, and his stepmother, Camilla, Queen Consort.
Prince Harry, who promised to be truthful in his memoir, will share happy memories and dig up some painful and humiliating incidents and exchanges that marked his youth.
In a new interview with The Daily Beast, Valentine Low, the author of Courtiers, explained that anxiety is at an all-time high in the Palace walls because of Prince Harry’s imminent exposé on the British royal family.
According to Low, King Charles sees big trouble looming because of one damaging chapter.
The famous royal journalist revealed to the media outlet: “There is one chapter in particular that could spell big trouble for Charles.”
According to the royal biographer, King Charles has removed all powers from Prince Harry to embarrass him because he weathered the most cringe-worthy and humiliating telephone call of his life.
The author explained why King Charles will win the war against Prince Harry: “While Harry could certainly make revelations that are damaging and produce days or even weeks of headlines and tropes that get wheeled out for years to come, I think his book is unlikely to be terminally damaging for either the king or the royal family. You only have to look at “Tampongate,” when Charles was recorded having literally the most embarrassing phone call (with Camilla imagining being her tampon—revealed to the world in 1993) you could possibly imagine. He survived it. Indeed, he married Camilla, and she is now queen.”
In 1993, Queen Elizabeth II and the British royal family faced an epic scandal now known as “Tampongate,” in which a sexy and intimate telephone conversation between Camilla Parker Bowles and then-Prince Charles recorded in 1989 was leaked to the public.
The pair, who were married to other people, had a steamy conversation about their forbidden romance. At one point, the heir to the throne told Bowles that he would love to live inside her pants and he could be reincarnated as a tampon.
However, King Charles’s headaches are not over yet. That very private 8-minute conversation appears to haunt him forever more.
It has been confirmed that The Crown will include King Charles’s infamous “Tampongate” phone call with Camilla Parker Bowles in the new season.
Dominic West, who plays King Charles spoke to Entertainment Weekly and explained how he dealt with the matter: “I remember thinking it was something so sordid and deeply, deeply embarrassing [at the time]. Looking back on it, and having to play it, what you’re conscious of is that the blame was not with these two people, two lovers, who were having a private conversation. What’s really [clear now] is how invasive and disgusting was the press’s attention to it, that they printed it out verbatim, and you could call a number and listen to the actual tape. I think it made me extremely sympathetic towards the two of them and what they’d gone through.”
The past is always present for the British royals.
