Sitting down with Variety for a cover dubbed the “Meghan Moment,” Meghan Markle captured the spotlight and utilized it like no one else in the Royal Family could.
Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, dazzled in a whimsical photoshoot. Markle was immaculate from head to toe in a series of summer-ready dresses and gowns.
She sat down for a lengthy interview tackling a variety of topics. For the first time since Queen Elizabeth II‘s passing, Markle opened up about her private moments with the late Monarch.
She highlighted the importance of her legacy. Markle had a lot to say about the aftermath of her and Prince Harry‘s insightful and controversial Oprah Winfrey interview.
Markle and Prince Harry are working on several projects, causing anxiety for King Charles III and Buckingham Palace.
The former actress using elegance and grace warned King Charles of what is to come with the much-talked-about Netflix docuseries.
Prince Harry’s wife subtly promises some level of drama while indicating that she and Prince Harry are not responsible for it.
Interviewer Matt Donnelly asked Markle: “What can we expect from Liz Garbus‘s docuseries on you and your husband?”
She responded by saying: “It’s nice to be able to trust someone with our story — a seasoned director whose work I’ve long admired — even if it means it may not be the way we would have told it. But that’s not why we’re telling it. We’re trusting our story to someone else, and that means it will go through their lens.”
She added: “‘It’s interesting. My husband has never worked in this industry before. For me, having worked on ‘Suits,’ it’s so amazing to be around so much creative energy and to see how people work together and share their own points of view. That’s been really fun.”
Hosts of the Royally Obsessed podcast, Rachel Bowie and Roberta Fiorito, had an interesting discussion about Markle’s interview.
One of the royal experts claimed that the podcast host is nervous about the series because she knows that there will be revelations that will lead to a backlash. These confessions will also irk the royals in London.
The commentator claimed: “They [Meghan and Variety’s Matt Donnelly] talked about the docuseries. It’s interesting because I think that they [Meghan and Harry] actually are…getting ahead of it and saying: ‘This isn’t the way we would have told the story,’ like are they already a little nervous about the backlash to it.”
Along with the Netflix series, Prince Harry plans to end or start the years with a bang via his tell-all book.
