It seems like the love between Britney Spears and Selena Gomez is over. Throughout 2022, Spears went through multiple life-changing events, including marriage and miscarriage.
The pop star has revealed that Gomez often privately shows her love and support. Along with Madonna, Gomez was front and center at Spears’s lavish wedding to Sam Asghari.
In an Instagram post, Britney Spears thanked the actress/singer for being present for her.
It is unknown why, but Spears, who has been shamed by her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, and her sons — Sean Preston and Jayden James — because of her passion for posing nude on Instagram, has decided to take out her frustration on Gomez.
On Tuesday, Britney Spears decided to attack Gomez for a speech she gave six years ago.
The 40-year-old pop princess seems angry at the message Gomez, 30, delivered at the 2016 American Music Awards after winning the Favorite Female Pop/Rock Artist gong.
The former child star said: “I don’t wanna see your bodies on Instagram. I wanna see what’s in here. I’m not trying to get validation, nor do I need it anymore.”
In her blinded war against those who think she has gone too far with her liberties and desires to show off her body, Spears dragged Gomez in a post.
Spears wrote: “Don’t you just love the nerve of women who stand firmly getting awards and speak on their beliefs about not showing their bodies on Instagram ???!!!!! They say, ‘This is NOT something I would do,’ yet those women are the very ones who get 4 million dollar budget videos made about sucking and licking on homemade ice cream 🍦!!!!”
The beginning of the fiery post focuses on the creative and steamy video that Gomez did for the song “Ice Cream” with the pop group BLACKPINK.
The visual features lots of candies and, of course, ice cream. It is unclear whether the artists indeed had a “4 million dollar budget” for the video.
The diva went on to say: “These other girls have nothing but beautiful bodies !!!! Who cares if they flaunt it ??? THEY SHOULD !!! So the next time I see someone with a big budget video sucking on lollipops 🍭 yet giving righteous speeches shaming other women for exposing their bodies, I would like to tell those people don’t be a hypocrite as you suck on your lollipop having HUGE budget dreams.”
She concluded by stating: “Why would you stand firmly against girls getting attention JUST LIKE YOU, and they have absolutely nothing ????”
After being flooded with comments from Gomez’s fans, who are baffled and upset by the post, Spears deleted the caption and declined to comment on the self-made controversy.
