Prince William Took One Brutal Decision After Prince Harry Announced The Title Of His Book

Prince Harry William New Book

It is all but certain that Prince Harry has not been able to share with Prince William the content of his upcoming book — because they are not talking.

The warring brothers made great progress after Prince Harry and Markle extended their stay in London to attend Queen Elizabeth II‘s funeral.

However, once Prince Harry announced that the title of his book is Spare — Prince William had a visceral reaction and took the decision to shut him down again.

Prince Harry picked the title Spare because it reminds the world that he grew up in Prince William’s shadow as the heir to the throne.

There is a possibility that the title did not sit well with Prince William, who has “barely spoken to Prince Harry since news broke of his title” for the forthcoming tell-all book, according to royal expert Angela Levin.

Levin went on to reveal to The Daily Mail: “They have lawyers ready to read it, but they won’t see it until it’s out. If it’s too bland, it won’t be worth the millions they’ve already paid him.”

The title itself is burdensome to Prince William because it invokes memories of his late mother, Princess Diana, who called Prince Harry the spare when he was a little boy.

It has been reported that the doting mother said that the monarchy would take care of Prince William and she would care for Prince Harry.

Unfortunately, her time was cut short, and she was not able to keep her promise.

Kinsey Schofield, royal expert and host of the To Di For Daily podcast, told Fox News: “It’s very nebulous as his mother affectionately called him ‘the spare,’ but it is also indicative of the battle he has been fighting his whole life, to find a path that is his own in a family and institution set up only for his older brother.”

Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, might not be thrilled about Prince Harry’s piece of literary work because it will remove the spotlight from their royal engagements and charity works.

Schofield continued: “The title alone creates a distraction for anything [Prince William and Kate Middleton] are doing. And that’s a problem for them.”

Royal author and commentator Duncan Larcombe also appeared on Fox News to explain that “the spare” is “a derogatory term in royal circles.”

He stated that Prince William could be frustrated by Prince Harry’s move because it implies that he is upset by the fact that he was pushed down in the line of succession.

He explained: “The spare to the heir is someone who is not as important and as worthy as their older sibling. And that’s certainly something that hasn’t been a very easy role historically for Prince Harry but also Prince Andrew, Charles’s brother, and of course, Princess Margaret, the queen’s sister. So it kind of looks very clearly that Harry’s intent on taking a kind of victim position because he’s giving the [title] a derogatory term, and presumably what will follow is a book about how hard it was being born in his brother’s shadow.”

Royal supporters hope the two brothers can find a middle ground.
