Taylor Swift Inadvertently Dragged Into Francia Raisa And Selena Gomez’s Messy Relationship

Selena Gomez Taylor Swift Francia Raisa Friendship

Taylor Swift finds herself in the middle of another controversy through no fault of her own. Selena Gomez recently debuted her My Mind & Me documentary, where she took an in-depth look at her struggles.

However, Gomez, 30, failed to mention her friend of over ten years, Francia Raisa. The 34-year-old Grown-ish actress donated a kidney to the Texas native in 2017 as she battled lupus.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Gomez went even further by saying that Swift is the only friend that she has in the entertainment industry.

The “Back to You” singer said: “I never fit in with a cool group of girls that were celebrities. My only friend in the industry really is Taylor.”

Raisa did not appreciate that her old pal forgot her in the documentary and unfollowed Gomez on social media. Moreover, when the interview went viral, she reportedly left a comment online that read: “interesting.” It has since been deleted.

Sensing that the whole thing was turning into a PR nightmare for her, Gomez decided to react on TikTok. Under a post that covered Raisa’s reaction to the snub, Gomez wrote: “Sorry I didn’t mention every person I know.”

Gomez and Raisa have had a complicated relationship in the past five years. Things went south in 2018 because The Secret Life of the American Teenager star had problems with Gomez’s lifestyle after the surgery.

She deemed it “unhealthy” because her friend used to consume alcohol. However, they made peace in 2021, and things had seemed to be going well between them.

They were even seen partying together on videos posted online in July.

However, the past few days have shown that the two friends are not really on the same page. Moreover, some fans were as shocked by the snub as they were by Gomez’s reaction to the controversy.

The 30-year-old Only Murders in the Building actress has built a savvy public image and has done a lot to avoid getting caught in public spats with other women.

In that spirit, she even made a show of peace with Hailey Bieber, the model who married her longtime on-and-off boyfriend, Justin Bieber.

Gomez has been honest about her battles with anxiety and depression. She has also been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. The entertainer said that comments on social media had affected her mental state.

She still follows Raisa on social media. The Bring It On: All or Nothing actress has dealt with depression after the surgery and had to make lifestyle changes after donating her kidney.

Gomez and Swift met in 2008 while they were dating two Jonas brothers.
