Prince William And Kate Middleton Inadvertently Contributed To The Latest Snub Directed At Prince Harry

Prince William Kate Middleton Queen Elizabeth Move After Harry Comment

King Charles III made his issues with his son, Prince Harry, bigger this week. The King decided to make some changes to his list of Counsellors of State.

Through the Regency Act, he requested that his siblings — Princess Anne and Prince Edward — be added to the ranking.

The hastened move happened on the new Sovereign‘s birthday, which illustrates its meaning. The immediate consequence of the change is that Prince Harry and Prince Andrew have even more minor roles in the British monarchy than before.

Many commenters see the demotion as another warning shot to keep The Duke of Sussex in line. Meghan Markle‘s husband is reportedly livid over King Charles’s decision.

However, there might be more to the story. According to the latest reports, Prince William and Kate Middleton played an important part in making the change happen.

The Prince of Wales and Princess of Wales are traveling to the United States later this month for the Earthshot Prize, and they will not be able to assist the Monarch properly.

The Waleses pushed for the change to occur rapidly so King Charles could get all the help he needed to do the job efficiently.

So, Prince William is indirectly at the source of the latest snub directed at Prince Harry from the Royal Family.

Richard Palmer, a royal correspondent for the Daily Express, stated: “What was quite interesting was that the King chose his birthday to write to Parliament to ask for legislation to be brought forward as quickly as possible to make this legal change. I was intrigued by that – it was clearly sending a signal that this an important matter that he would like to be sorted out.”

Palmer continued: “Clearly, one factor may be that William and Kate are going to the US at the end of this month. That may have affected the decision-making because if [the King] suddenly fell ill or was indisposed in some way, then William would have to come straight back from the US and cut short his visit. Or, there have to be two Counsellors of State, as we know, so [William] would have had to ask someone else to stand in.”

Pandora Forsyth, host of the Royal Round Up: added: “He is acutely aware that he needed to put this through quite quickly, which shows the urgency of it.”

Prince Harry and his wife have many projects on the menu for the upcoming weeks. It will be interesting to see if the renegade prince will let the snub slide without some kind of response.
