Prince Harry is set to release his first memoir, Spare, on January 10. The British prince promised his worldwide audience a series of chapters that honestly dive into his life.
He will tackle his difficult and painful childhood, military years, his love story with Meghan Markle that led to “Megxit,” and the rift between himself, King Charles III, and Prince William.
Several reports have confirmed that Prince Harry has reached out to his many ex-girlfriends hoping they would contribute to the book.
Many have declined to share their stories in Spare because they do not want to participate in the tug-of-war between Prince Harry and the Royal Family.
Catherine Ommanney briefly dated Prince Harry in 2006 and took part in a bombshell interview where she shared intimate details about the short May-December romance.
Ommanney was 34 years old, and Prince Harry was only 21 years old at the time. Despite the 13-year age gap and the fact that she was already a mother of two, she was smitten with the British prince after they met at the Art Bar in London.
Prince Harry was in a long-term on-off relationship with socialite Chelsy Davy when he was introduced to Ommanney.
The former Real Housewives of DC star had recently split from her first husband when the chance encounter took place.
She told The Sun on Sunday that Prince Harry did not contact her to be in Spare, but she would have loved to because she has a fantastic story to tell.
Ommanney claimed: “I doubt I will be in Harry’s book as a prince can’t run off with a 34-year-old mother-of-two. It’s just not the done thing.”
The interior designer detailed the night she and Prince Harry shared their first passionate kiss.
She revealed: “We had mutual friends in the property business, and he introduced himself. Harry was wearing an Australian-style hat that made me laugh, so I asked him, ‘What are you doing looking like a t*** in that?”
While she enjoyed the spicy fling, it was never her intention to be with a person so young. The mother of two told the media outlet: “He was only 21, so a relationship was the furthest thing from my mind.”
Ommanney thought that Prince Harry was needy and sometimes acted like a child and would get scolded by Buckingham Palace staff members and guards.
She gave one example of Prince Harry behaving badly and getting called out for it: “We were driven to Eclipse nightclub in South Kensington and whisked downstairs to the VIP area. I started chatting to somebody, and Harry took the cloth out of the champagne bucket and put it over my head. I was a bit upset because it was freezing. I told him, ‘Stop being so needy; that is not the way to behave.’ One of his security guards came over and told him off, saying, ‘Get a grip. You can’t behave like that.’ I saw him get told off like that a few times.”
Meghan Markle will not love this, but the former reality TV star did not hold back while describing her intimate and passionate moments with Prince Harry. She also shared a photo proving her wild night with Prince Harry.
The businesswoman claimed: “We went upstairs to the bathroom and started mucking about like teenagers, singing into toothbrushes like they were microphones. We got into the bath with our clothes on, and one of our friends took a photo on my phone. Harry and I went to the kitchen, and he made a great bacon sandwich. We sat in the kitchen chatting for ages, and we both had giggled. We started play fighting, and I think we were wrestling on and off for about 15 minutes when I told him I needed to go home.”
She added: “It was then that he lifted me by my waist off the floor and held me against the wall. He gave me the most incredible, passionate kiss I have ever had in my life. I was absolutely speechless.”
Ommanney gleefully opened up about her other make-out sessions with King Charles‘s son by saying: “We continued texting, and I saw him again about a week later at a bar in Kensington. We had another kiss, and Harry was very complimentary, telling me how beautiful I was. We met a few more times, always in private bars.”
She said that she spent hours talking to Prince Harry, who revealed that his heart’s desire was to be free from the monarchy and all that it stands for.
She concluded by saying that she is happy for him and hopes that Markle and his new life in California are all that he dreamed of and more.
She stated: “I hope he is happy and has found some freedom finally because that is something he was desperately searching for back then. I hope Meghan looks after him, and I don’t wish him anything other than happiness and success because he is a very brave, charismatic, incredibly funny, intelligent, and lovely human being.”
Some observers are wondering if more people from Prince Harry’s past will come forward.
