Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Proven Right, Loyalty And Duty Will Not Sway King Charles

Many have slammed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for moving too fast, not being loyal, or not understanding the true meanings of commitment, sacrifice, service, or duty.

However, what good did any of that do for Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex? For decades, Prince Edward kept his head down, worked tirelessly, represented Queen Elizabeth II via charitable works, and supported King Charles III‘s endeavors.

While he faced some minor drama with his media and production company, King Charles brought immense shame via the cheating allegations and the Camilla Parker-Bowles tampongate scandal.

It was always believed that Prince Edward and his wife, Sophie, Countess of Wessex, would be rewarded for their dedication to the British monarchy with the titles of Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh.

In fact, it was widely reported that in 1999, Sophie Wessex married Prince Edward, and Queen Elizabeth II made the commitment and offered them the titles as a wedding gift.

The pair was supposed to inherit the titles after the deaths of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

However, King Charles has other plans. The new Monarch has dealt a major blow to his brother and sister-in-law by deciding that the title will be bestowed to his granddaughter, Princess Charlotte.

King Charles wants Prince William and Kate Middleton‘s child to become Duchess of Edinburgh to pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth.

A source from Buckingham Palace revealed to The Daily Mail: “Discussions are underway, but the favored outcome for the King is that this title should go to Princess Charlotte. It would be a fitting way to remember the Queen – who, of course, had the title Duchess of Edinburgh – and a way for His Majesty to honor the line of succession.”

The source revealed that King Charles wants Princess Charlotte to be gifted the title because if Prince George does not have any children, she would become Queen of England.

The source added: “Charlotte’s position is historically significant because she is the first female member of the Royal Family whose place in the line of succession will not be surpassed by her younger brother. So it is constitutionally significant that Charlotte should be given such a corresponding title because it is not beyond the realms of possibility that she will accede to the throne if, for example, Prince George does not have children.”

An insider close to Prince Edward said King Charles’s decision to deny him the Dukedom has not gone “unnoticed.”

Adding injury to insult, it seems that Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, and his spouse had started preparing for the roles they would never get.

According to The Daily Mail and The Telegraph, Prince Edward took over the reins at the Duke of Edinburgh Awards that was created in 1956.

The Telegraph added: “He was chairman of its International Council for 17 years and, since 2015, has been chairman of the trustees of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation.”

Prince Harry and Markle might have been right all along; loyalty would get them nowhere in the Royal Family because King Charles has decided only family members directly in line to the throne matter.

A royal insider confirmed to The Daily Mail: “It shows you what the King is thinking. It’s about promoting those directly in line to the throne rather than those on the edges.”

Many British citizens are angry at King Charles’s decision to humiliate his family.
