The situation between Kim Kardashian and Kanye West gets more complex by the day.
When the rapper is not on a self-destructive path for himself and his businesses with tirades and incendiary decisions, he is dragging his ex-wife under the bus for things she did or did not do.
However, the billionaire reality TV star has decided to once more put everything aside for the sake of her four children and to give West what he truly wants — an active role in his kids’ lives.
Kardashian and the controversial rapper share children — North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
This week, Saint celebrated his 7th birthday, and the SKIMS founder ensured that West had a front-row seat to the family gathering.
According to reliable sources, West spent several hours at Kardashian’s mansion to watch his son play, enjoy his birthday cake, and open presents.
Many were baffled that the billionaire was willing to be under the same roof as her ex-husband.
However, a source close to Kardashian explained her decision to E! News by saying that he will forever remain family no matter how bad the situation gets with West.
The family friend revealed: “Kanye will always be their dad, and it won’t change. All the kids are very bonded to Kanye and adore him despite what’s going on. Kim is doing a great job of not letting that change their relationship.”
The source also explained that Kardashian wants West to play an important role in his children’s lives because it makes them happy.
The family friend went on to say: “He will always be a part of their lives, and she will help facilitate that. She absolutely wants to include him in important events in the kids’ lives and makes every effort.”
After months of bickering, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West finally reached a divorce settlement. The settlement states that Kardashian and the fashion designer will each get joint legal and physical custody of their children.
West has been ordered to pay Kardashian $200,000 a month in child support.
The former couple has agreed to split the costs for the children’s schooling, medical, and security bills.
Kardashian was slammed for being a billionaire who is still willing to take a large sum from West after he lost most of his business deals.
A Kardashian source hit back by explaining: “Everything Kim did here was to benefit her kids. She wants to be a good co-parent. They do have joint custody, but Kim spends most of the time with the kids anyway, which Kanye has publicly admitted.”
