Miley Cyrus is getting her old job back, but she will do it with a bold and edgy look. The singer has announced the second annual Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party special that will air on NBC and Peacock.
The former child star will co-host with the legendary singer/songwriter and her godmother, Dolly Parton.
Miley Cyrus shared a couple of promotional posters for the event that left fans stunned by her new and edgy transformation.
The former Hannah Montana star debuted a long, two-toned hairstyle that is both mature and steamy.
Wearing a simple buddy-hugging little black dress, Miley Cyrus showed off her toned figure and impressive tattoos.
The “He Could Be the One” singer opted for minimal makeup leaving her striking blue eyes to take center stage.
Dolly Parton posed next to her goddaughter, wearing a striking black and gold outfit that revealed her famous cleavage.
Cyrus said she decided to kick off 2023 in Miami with Parton because: “The show is exactly what you would want. But not what you would expect.”
Executive Vice President, Entertainment Live Events, Specials, and E! News, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming Jen Neal said in a statement: “The inaugural Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party was an unqualified success, and we know this year’s show will be just as spectacular, with plenty of surprises and lots of fun. We can’t wait to get the party started.”
The night is expected to be fun, wild, and filled with many memorable musical performances and plenty of celebrity guests.
Last year the party was co-hosted by Pete Davidson, and there was quite a bit of flirting going on.
With Parton joining the soirrée, many are expecting lots of personal stories and jokes with a touch of untamed humor. Do not be surprised if Parton pushes the boundaries during the event.
Dolly Parton has known Miley Cyrus since she was born and has believed in her and stood by her side through it all — the epic launch of her career as a child star, her complex relationships with men and women, and her drastic decision to change her image.
Parton, who does not have any children, has described Cyrus as her own, and she explained in a past interview why she is not troubled by some of her antics: “I think she does some stuff just for shock value, and just because she’s young, she can afford that. I will never, ever bad-mouth Miley, no matter what she does. I just always hope she comes out the other end alright.”
The pairing was not expected.
