In Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s much talked about and controversial Netflix series, it was revealed that the pair does not have a good relationship with Prince William.
The world was fully aware that Prince Harry and his older brother were in the midst of a cold war since “Megxit.”
However, how does Markle feel about her brother-in-law? The former actress gave clues about where things stand with the heir to the throne in one poignant scene in episode 6 of Harry & Meghan.
While talking to Prince Harry about her lengthy and costly court case against The Daily Mail, Markle made it clear that she was on icy terms with Prince William.
Markle, Prince Harry, and their lawyer, Jenny Afia, believed that Prince William was aware or colluded with Jason Knauf to leak information to the press.
Jason Knauf was a former communications secretary for Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, as well as Prince Harry and Markle.
The activist and media personality would roll her eyes, show her frustration, and fight to eat her words when talking about Prince William’s involvement in the matter.
Letting the world know that she is not too fond of Prince William, Markle threw her arms up in the air and said: “I know, like, that, like, it’s your brother. It’s your brother. I’m not going to say anything about your brother, but it’s so obvious it’s like … It’s even more obvious that they’ll try and cover it up.”
Sources close to Meghan Markle are now talking as to why she is exasperated with her brother-in-law.
A person, who is described as a London socialite who is close to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, spoke to Page Six and explained the situation.
According to the insider, after they relocated to California, Markle, on multiple occasions, contacted Prince William, hoping to play peacemaker.
The former actress was determined for the brothers to reconcile. The source claimed that Markle “was rebuffed by the future King.”
The socialite told the media outlet that Prince William was not interested in talking to Markle. He only wanted to communicate directly with Prince Harry.
The insider stated: “I’m told that William said he wanted to speak to Harry himself and did not want to go through Meghan.”
Another source close to William, Prince of Wales, told Page Six that it is over between the pair and added: “I think that’s it. They’re done. There’s a great sense of mistrust, and it’s why William won’t speak to Harry because he is nervous that anything he says might end up in a book or a TV series.”
Observers have said that reconciliation is unlikely for now.
