King Charles III has heard the loud chatter that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle want a formal apology from him, and Buckingham Palace has responded — in a dignifying way.
This week, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle let the world know they want a meeting or summit with King Charles.
The pair watched as King Charles displayed his leadership by having a public meeting between the former staffer and the charity boss that recently created significant headlines.
Prince William‘s godmother, Lady Susan Hussey, apologized in front of the world to Ngozi Fulani for the racist remarks that she made at an event hosted by Camilla, Queen Consort.
A source close to the California-based couple told The Telegraph that they are hoping that King Charles will have the same courtesy and provide them with a sincere and, if possible, televised meeting where he says sorry for the sins that the monarchy, the Firm, and the royals have committed against them.
A source from the Palace said: “Who’s apologizing to whom?”
A royal expert told The Sun: ” It’s a bit rich after what they’ve done. For the King to offer any conciliation would be below the dignity of The Crown. Harry doesn’t understand that the relationship with his father has changed. And don’t forget we’ve still got Harry’s book Spare coming out, so things are only going to get worse.”
The audience with the King that they are hoping for will not happen, but they might be shamed in front of a large TV audience instead.
King Charles will make Prince Harry and Markle look bad in the upcoming days. His Majesty will use the upcoming first Christmas speech to put an end to the chatter around the apology and the Netflix docuseries scandal.
A source in the Palace told The Mirror that King Charles would make reference to Prince Harry and Meghan Meghan and teach them a lesson in class, dignity, and decorum.
The King will let them know that they are very much part of the family, and he loves them and is saddened that they cannot be all together for the holidays despite the ongoing feud.
King Charles will make the Royal Family look magnanimous and warm-hearted, while his son and daughter-in-law will be viewed as the troublemaker and flame throwers.
The source shared: “I don’t believe he will waste a moment on them – and nor will there be any hidden messages of reconciliation, such as having their framed photo on his desk or including a video clip focusing on them.”
The insider added: “He is wise and experienced enough to know to steer as far away from family matters as he now must also do from politics and his old hobby horses like climate change. I’m sure King Charles will take time to reflect on his mother’s phenomenal achievements and the enormous legacy she has left.:
King Charles is showing a lot of restraint while dealing with this situation.
