John Mayer Opens Up About His Private Life After Failed Romances With Jessica Simpson And Taylor Swift

John Mayer has decided to open up about his private life like never before. The singer and songwriter stopped at the Call Her Daddy podcast this week.

Leaving no stone unturned, John Mayer dropped the surprising confession that he has stopped dating. He also revealed that he was never a womanizer, but he happily played along with the image given to him by the media to further his career.

The “Last Train Home” singer proudly shared that he has been sober for six years, but a sour note accompanied that happy news.

John Mayer said that his dating life has become almost non-existing.

The musician explained: “Dating is no longer a codified activity for me, and it doesn’t exist in a kind of … it’s not patterned anymore.”

He reflected on how his lack of desire for alcohol influenced his intimate life.

He said: “I quit drinking like six years ago. So I don’t have the liquid courage. I just have dry courage. You have to be honest. You have to be really, glaringly honest.”

John Mayer has officially dated many high-profile Hollywood women, including Jessica Simpson, Katy Perry, Jennifer Aniston, Taylor Swift, and Renée Zellweger.

And reports have claimed that he had romances with Kim Kardashian and Rihanna.

The Grammy winner explained to host Alex Cooper why he embraced his “womanizer” label by saying: “That is what that is. That’s the role I play on the big TV show I didn’t write about, but that’s fine. Maybe I had a hand in it or something.”

John Mayer shamelessly confessed that he capitalized on the label and added: “I think people would be surprised to know that it was less me going like, you know, the meme of the guy behind the tree? It was … more like [looking around and wondering], ‘Me?'”

During his tour earlier this year, John Mayer told his fans that he does not like when people ask him when he will settle down and start a family.

He stated: “When I do, it will be additive and awesome and great. But until then, I’m going to be just fine.”

Mayer continued: “I’m doing fine because the left side of my bed is just a row of pillows. I sleep next to a row of pillows. That stack of pillows doesn’t resent or hate me or bring me down.”

The artist has rarely been this honest.
