Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, had no problem pulling the receipts to humiliate Kate Middleton and other Royal Family members.
In his bestselling book Spare, The Duke of Sussex revealed as many private controversial stories that he could remember about King Charles III, Camilla, Queen Consort, Prince William, and Kate Middleton.
In his quest to vindicate his wife, Meghan Markle, Prince Harry opted to publish text messages that she sent and received from Kate Middleton over their teary fight.
The ladies have been going back and forth for years over who made who cry because of bridesmaids’ dresses that were too big and baggy.
The British media claimed that Markle hurt Middteloton’s feelings and made her weep.
However, during the bombshell Oprah Winfrey interview, the former American actress said the opposite happened, and the future Queen later apologized and handed her a bouquet of flowers.
Prince Harry not only shared the text messages between the royal ladies but also revealed Markle’s side of the story.
According to Prince Harry, the days leading up to the wedding became even more stressful for his then-fiancée because of many scandals caused by her father, Thomas Markle.
Prince Harry wrote: “Meg asked if Kate was aware of what was going on right now. With her father. Kate said she was well aware, but the dresses. And the wedding is in four days!” Meg replied, “Yes, Kate, I know . . .”
Prince Harry continued in the book: “Meg didn’t reply to Kate straight away. Yes, she had endless wedding-related texts, but mostly she was dealing with the chaos surrounding her father. So the next morning, she texted Kate that our tailor was standing by.”
He added: “A short time later, I arrived home and found Meg on the floor. Sobbing. I was horrified to see her so upset, but I didn’t think it was a catastrophe. Emotions were running high after the stress of the last week, the last month, the last day. It was intolerable but temporary. Kate hadn’t meant any harm, I told her. The next day Kate arrived with a bouquet of flowers and apologized to Meg.”
Prince Harry has made it fair game to drop receipts and hard evidence to clear his and Markle’s names, and Middleton is hoping to do the same.
After the Netflix docuseries and the book that destroyed her reputation, a source claimed that Middleton is “hell-bent” on striking back against Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
Via In Touch, the royal insider said: “Kate’s ammunition could potentially destroy Meghan. The Princess of Wales has a stack of receipts, which she accumulated over the years.”
However, Prince William is not confident this is the best route to take, which implies that Prince Harry will continue to go rogue in his interviews and other multi-million-dollar tell-all projects.
