Prince Harry went there in his bombshell book, Spare, which has rapidly shot up to the New York Times Best Seller list.
The California-based Duke tackled every major and light-hearted topic in the record-shattering memoir. Meghan Markle‘s husband opened up about intimate moments, including losing his virginity, having his private part frozen, and drug usage.
Prince Harry spoke about his personal experiences with marijuana while living in California with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their young son, Archie, during the 2020 lockdown due to COVID-19.
Writing in the tell-all book, The Duke of Sussex said: “Late at night with everyone asleep, I’d walk the house, checking the doors and windows. Then I’d sit on the balcony or the garden’s edge and roll a joint.”
Prince Harry shamelessly revealed his drug usage with friends after his first steamy date with Meghan Markle.
The British Prince confessed that after that special evening with Markle, he met with a group of friends in Chelsea, and this is what happened: “He took one look at my face and said: ‘What’s happened?’ I didn’t want to tell him. I kept thinking: Do not tell him. Do not tell him. Do not tell him. I told him. I recounted the entire date, then pleaded: ‘[Expletive] mate, what am I going to do?’ Out came the tequila. Out came the weed. We drank and smoked and watched… [Disney film] Inside Out.”
While Prince Harry was able to partake in recreational drug use with close pals, when he asked his brother, Prince William, to join him — the answer was no.
The heir to the throne had some infamous wild nights of partying in clubs in England and Verbier, Switzerland — he declined to do psychedelic drugs even with his only sibling.
The Duke of Sussex explained that after taking the mind-bending drug ayahuasca, he finally had a eureka moment that led to him finally accepting that his mother, Princess Diana, was no longer alive and that she wanted him to find true happiness.
Prince Harry said that he wished that Prince William would take the drug to help cope with the loss of their mother.
He stated: “And now, as two brothers, if one of you goes through that experience and the other one doesn’t, it naturally creates a further divide between you, which is really sad. But as much as William was the first person to even suggest therapy, I just wish that he would be able to feel the same benefits of that as opposed to believing what he doesn’t need to.”
Many royal observers are saying that Prince William avoided a massive scandal by saying no to drugs around Prince Harry, who would have exposed him in Spare or during an interview.
King Charles III must be proud that the heir and the monarchy are not embroiled in a drug drama.
