Hours after Prince Harry unleashed his best-selling book Spare unto the world, King Charles III knew precisely how he would punish and humiliate his youngest son.
His Majesty continued the petty war by evicting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from Frogmore Cottage.
Forget that it was a gift from Queen Elizabeth II. The King and the heir to the throne, Prince William, were furious at the painful revelations made by Prince Harry, and he had to pay for his sins.
According to sources close to Prince Harry and King Charles who spoke to the Sun and the Daily Mail, a series of fiery emails were exchanged between London and California.
The King first said to Markle and Prince Harry they had a few weeks to gather their belongings from the cottage. He later changed his mind and told them he would give them till after the coronation.
Amid the heated exchange, King Charles was made aware of the consequences of his brutal and final actions on his grandchildren — Archie and Lilibet Diana.
In a piece written by Omid Scobie, it was revealed that King Charles was told that the eviction would create security issues for Markle and Prince Harry in England and, therefore, he would not be seeing much of his grandchildren.
King Charles made it clear that his priorities do not align with spending time with Archie and Lilibet.
As the new Monarch, he has a coronation to plan and a country to “govern” and represent.
The royal author wrote: “But despite the [security] risks and the prospect of grandchildren Archie and Lilibet not being able to visit in the future, King Charles is sticking firm to his eviction notice. The Monarch, I’m told, has focused his priorities elsewhere. “I think the King is just fed up with the entire situation.”
Royal observers believe that Archie and Lilibet are paying for their parents’ sins (“Megxit,” the revelations in the Oprah Winfrey interviews, the Netflix series, and Spare).
These experts predicted that King Charles, who has been involved in a long list of scandals, including “tampongate,” is now holier-than-thou and will therefore hurt Archie and Lilibet hard by denying them what is rightfully theirs — the titles of prince and princess.
Royal expert and author Richard Fitzwilliam had this to say about the future titles for Archie and Lilibet by saying: “It means Harry and Meghan’s children Archie and Lili are highly unlikely to be granted titles.”
A family friend of Prince Harry and Markle said that they are upset by King Charles’s decision and feel like they are being punished.
The source told Omid Scobie: “It all feels very final and like a cruel punishment. It’s like [the family] want to cut them out of the picture for good.”
Peace between the two sides is not on the horizon for now.
