Romy Croquet, the teenage daughter of filmmaker Sofia Coppola and musician Thomas Mars, has gone viral with a TikTok video.
The 16-year-old self-proclaimed “nepo baby” confessed that her parents grounded her for doing the most normal thing ever — she attempted to spend several thousands of dollars to enjoy a helicopter ride from New York to Maryland to have dinner with a friend.
In the clip trending on Twitter and Instagram, Romy Mars, also known as Romy Croquet, said she was about to defy her parents’ rules.
The oldest daughter of the Oscar-winning filmmaker opened the clip by talking about a bizarre recipe for vodka pasta and revealed why she was being punished.

The highly-privileged teenager stated: “Make a vodka sauce pasta with me because I’m grounded.
She jumped into the fascinating details of the extraordinary actions that forced her parents to ground her.
She revealed: “I tried to charter a helicopter from New York to Maryland on my dad’s credit card because I wanted to have dinner with my camp friend.”
The teenager had a Kendal Jenner moment while she attempted to prepare the meal.
As she was trying to prepare the pasta, Romy made the shocking confession that she did not know the difference between garlic and onions.
Wait, there is more. Romy Croquet revealed that she had to Google images of onions to see what they look like.
She stated: “I did not know the difference between garlic and onion, and I had to Google images of onions on my phone. I’m embarrassed.”
The confused teenager held a shallot and asked: “Is this an onion? Because I feel like this doesn’t look like an onion. This looks like the inner workings of a ….”
In the viral video, Romy Mars said her parents prohibited her from having social media accounts and added: “Also, I thought I would do this since I’m already grounded because my parents’ biggest rule is like, I’m not allowed to have any public social media accounts. Here’s why. They don’t want me to be a nepotism kid, but TikTok is not gonna make me famous, so it doesn’t really matter.”
The young lady proceeded to show off her father’s Grammy Award. Thomas Mars’s daughter went on to reveal that she barely sees her parents and that she was hanging out with her babysitter’s boyfriend.
She stated: “My parents are never home, so these are my replacement parents. I almost burned the house down with my cooking.”
After setting the internet on fire, Romy Mars has taken the drastic decision of destroying all her social media accounts and returning to anonymity, and her parents can now sleep at night.
