The two artists were spotted during a heavy make-out session in New York City. The media quickly contacted Gigi Hadid, Malik’s former girlfriend and the mother of his child.
Hadid was asked to share her feelings about the high-profile relationship. The supermodel, who shares daughter Khai with the Englishman, gave a very diplomatic answer.
A source close to Gigi Hadid spoke to Us Weekly to say: “Gigi has no problem whatsoever with Zayn dating. As long as he is happy and stable and continues to be a good co-parent to Khai, she’s fine with whoever he goes out with.”
Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik dated on and off for about six years. The pair went their separate ways in the fall of 2021 amid claims that the singer clashed with Hadid’s mother, Yolanda Hadid, over private photos of Khai.
Malik and Gomez were always friends, but they decided to take things to another level this week.
A waitress recently took to social media to reveal that Zayn Malik and Selena Gomez walked into the famous restaurant where she works.
The pair were holding hands and kissing passionately. The woman said that she was worried about Selena Gomez after the bitter feud with Kylie Jenner and Hailey Bieber, but she was busy enjoying her best life with her new man.
An eyewitness told Entertainment Tonight that Gomez and Malik were on a secret dinner date.
The person also claimed: “Selena and Zayn went out in SoHo in New York City last night at around 10:30 pm. They walked in, holding hands and were kissing. Most restaurant staff and restaurant-goers didn’t notice them. It seemed like they were comfortable together, and it was clear that it was a date.”
Giving even more legs to the chatter, Zayn Malik’s sister, Safaa Malik, shared Selena Gomez’s latest post on her Instagram Stories.
The Sun is reporting that Zayn Malik’s family back in England is happy that he is dating Gomez.
Initially, his relatives wanted him to leave New York and move back to Bradford so they could help him deal with his “anxiety struggles and cannabis use.”
However, they are now hopeful that Gomez will be a shoulder that he can rely on. A source added to the Sun: “Zayn’s life has been turbulent in recent years, and his loved ones are hopeful that Selena will help ground him and be a calming influence. They’re well suited and are both quite spiritual, so could be a great match in the long run.”
Gomez seems to be in high spirits since the leak about romance hit the media.
