As it turns out, King Charles III truly wants Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and their young children at the coronation ceremony set for May 6th.
Some royal observers say the King desperately wants Prince Harry and Markle at the event to prove to the world that he is the most inclusive Monarch in Great Britain’s history.
Others claim he needs the Duke and Duchess at the crowning ceremony to captivate a worldwide audience.
And a few think King Charles is setting up a royal trap to humiliate his son and daughter-in-law publicly. No matter the reason, King Charles is doing all he can to lure the power couple to the event.
Sources close to His Majesty have spoken to the Daily Beast to reveal that Prince Harry and his spouse will be given what they deserve if they attend the coronation.
The Sovereign, who loves to have the spotlight on him, has made an exception and is willing to give the runaway royals prominent seats at Westminster Abbey during the scale-down ceremony.
A friend of the King told the Daily Beast: “Nothing that happens between now and then will make any difference to the seating plan. Charles has always said that he loves both his sons. He wants them both there. Harry and Meghan are invited and will be seated prominently.”
King Charles is making Frogmore Cottage available during their stay in London to convince Prince Harry and Markle to accept the invitation to the historical event.
The Daily Mail revealed: “Harry and Meghan’s former UK home, Frogmore Cottage in Windsor – which the King is said to have taken from them – will be available for them to stay in should they fly to England to attend.”
King Charles’s decision to offer the keys to Frogmore and the front-row seat at Westminster Abbey is part of intense negotiations with the Montecito couple.
A source told OK! Magazine: “The Palace is trying to wrap up negotiations as quickly as possible because they can’t go right up to the wire. It could lead to chaos. It could very well be that it ends in stalemate, and they won’t attend. But the Palace is doing everything in its power to not let that happen. The Palace is organizing two schedules. One that includes the Sussexes and one that doesn’t. They want to be prepared for any eventuality.”
The Sussexes are not showing their hands.
