However, Prince William knows his younger brother and believes that despite all that has transpired over the past three years with the interviews, the memoir, and the Netflix series — he will attend the crowning ceremony of their father.
A close friend of the heir to the throne spoke to The Daily Beast and revealed that he is confused by the circus that Prince Harry has created around his presence at the coronation.
Prince William believes that Prince Harry is being difficult by pretending that he has a hard time deciding on flying to London.
The father of three seems to be adamant that there will be no surprises — his brother will accept the invitation.
If Prince William’s prediction is accurate, Prince Harry is more likely to attend the event without Meghan Markle.
It seems unlikely that Prince Harry will travel with his two young children, Archie and Lilibet, to England.
The close pal of Prince Wiliam revealed to the media outlet: “William is baffled by Harry not publicly saying that he is coming to the coronation, especially because everyone thinks he will be there. Relations have never been this bad, and it feels like Harry is just stringing it out to try and be difficult, frankly.”
The insider claimed that Prince Harry and Markle, who are having tough negotiations with King Charles, have promised to make an announcement soon.
The source stated: “Everything is still up in the air, and there’s only a month to go. All people have been told is that ‘it should hopefully be resolved soon.’ But in the meantime, the teams are trying to finalize plans for 2,000 guests, many of whom are international heads of state and VIPs. It’s a headache.”
The media outlet repeated Prince William’s feelings about Prince Harry’s decision by writing: “Asked if William thought his brother would ultimately attend, The Daily Beast’s source said, “Everyone thinks he will.”
King Charles is also moving with the assumption that Prince Harry will be at the event.
