Meghan Markle no longer wants to play nice or pretend to get along with the Royal Family, so she declined the invitation to King Charles III‘s coronation.
That is the narrative being pushed by sources from Montecito, who spoke to Page Six to explain Markle’s absence from the event.
However, all stories have two sides, and royal insiders from London claimed that Kate Middleton and other members of the famous clan were never interested in having Markle at the glorious event.
According to a royal watcher, Kate Middleton, in particular, did not want to share the same breathing air as Markle after the revelations in the Netflix series and Prince Harry‘s Spare.
It is believed that Catherine, Princess of Wales, made it known that Markle was not welcome with a clear and ruthless message.
Former BBC journalist Tom Bower said on GB News: “We must all be grateful that Kate, in the end, I think, prevented Meghan from coming and said she ‘wouldn’t have her there under any circumstance.”
Bower shared the warning shot that Middleton gave Markle that could have pushed her to decide it was best to skip the coronation.
The royal expert said: “If she [Meghan] did come, she’d have to sit at the back.”
According to a royal source, who spoke to The Daily Mail, Prince William, his wife, Kate Middleton, and other seniors of the Royal Family were more than delighted to discover that Meghan Markle would not be traveling to England with Prince Harry on May 6th.
The person chimed in: “It would have been particularly uncomfortable for Kate.” The family friend revealed King Charles is also thankful Markle has opted out of attending.
The source shared: “Charles will [also] be pleased. The rest of the family will [also] be relieved that Meghan won’t be there.”
Markle and the future Queen of England never had a close relationship, but the pair cut all ties over the revelations made in the Oprah Winfrey interview, the Netflix series, and Prince Harry’s Spare.
The former actress told Oprah that the mother of three made her cry over baggy dresses while she was preparing for her wedding.
In the series Harry & Meghan, the Californian author revealed that Middleton is not a warm and friendly person.
She confessed: “Like, I was a hugger, always been a hugger. I didn’t realize that that is really jarring for a lot of Brits.”
Middleton fought back with a friend speaking to PEOPLE magazine to reveal: “Kate’s a big hugger. She is warm and friendly and greets everyone with a big hug and kiss. It comes naturally to her to be like that.”
Hugs and baggy dresses might have led to a transatlantic PR war between the royal women.
