After the world spent weeks guessing if Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, would attend the coronation ceremony, there is now a new pressing question that needs to be answered.

Many would like to know why Meghan Markle decided to skip King Charles III And Camilla, Queen Consort‘s big and fancy social gathering.

Some royal experts speculated that Markle took the elegant solution or excuse given to her by King Charles. His Majesty scheduled his coronation on his grandson’s birthday.

Prince Harry and Markle’s son, Archie, will celebrate his fourth birthday on May 6th.

Other royal observers and sources claimed that Markle stayed away from the crowning because she feared being booed in London.

However, royal author Omid Scobie, who is said to have ties to Prince Harry and Markle, has decided to share the truth as to why the Duchess of Sussex will be in California on coronation day.

The biographer did an interview recently where he explained that Markle skipped the big royal ball because she did not want to steal the spotlight from King Charles and Camilla, Queen Consort.

During his appearance on ITV’s This Morning, Scobie stated: “She is aware just how much of the spotlight goes on her when she sets foot near the story. It’s portrayed as intentional. Should she come over and just stand next to her husband, the commentary and the narrative of the day would have been very different…[The family] would rather the attention didn’t go onto her. If you look back at some of Harry and Meghan’s biggest problems, it was all down to the fact that the attention was always on them at times when it shouldn’t have been.”

The revelation that Markle did not want to overshadow King Charles’s big parade appeared like she was humble-bragging about her capacity to be the biggest star in the room.

A close friend of Meghan Markle spoke to PEOPLE Magazine and further explained that she feels that she would be heavily scrutinized from every angle (her clothes, gestures, the way she curtsied, and her interactions) and therefore decided the best option was to decline the invitation.

The person in the know claimed: “Meghan wants to be there to support her father-in-law, but at the same time, the scrutiny she receives outweighs the support. There’s always going to be that other side challenging their reasoning, and who wants to put themselves in that position?”

Some say this kind of revelation signals a form of detente between the two sides.
