King Charles At Odds With Prince William And Kate Middleton Over Daring Statement

King Charles Prince Harry Meghan Markle Netflix Series

Prince William and his father, King Charles III, do not see eye to eye when it comes to one Royal Family member — Kate Middleton.

Since King Charles’s lavish coronation ceremony, reports have surfaced claiming that His Majesty has grown frustrated that Kate Middleton has stolen his spotlight.

Despite his best efforts, not allowing Middleton to wear a tiara and to cover up with a massive cape, the Queen-in-waiting was the talk of the crowning because of her fashion and late arrival.

The drama continued with Middleton making a bold and surprise appearance at a flower show that King Charles and Queen Camilla also attended.

Middleton’s visit received more media coverage than His Majesty’s, and it has been reported that he is irritated by the situation.

However, Prince William has made it known he has no problem with his wife stealing the spotlight.

According to Royal Correspondent Roya Nikkhah, the heir to the throne is delighted that his wife has captivated Britons and the rest of the world.

Prince William is not like King Charles, who was jealous that Prince Diana captivated people in ways he could not.

Nikkhah told True Royalty TV’s The Royal Beat: “[King] Charles was always very upset when Diana had eclipsed him, which was all the time. William is delighted by the fact that people warm to Catherine.”

She added: “William is comfortable with that. I have heard him talk about Catherine’s work and how excited he is about it, and he loves that she is getting traction.”

However, all is not perfect; the royal journalist went on to say that Prince William is sometimes irritated that he is cut off from pictures when he attends events with Middleton.

The Sunday Times royal editor explained: “The only thing I know that does slightly bother him is when he is cropped out of photos. You will find very often they will do a joint engagement and the front page of the news the next day; it is as if William was never there!”

A friend of Prince William and Kate Middleton recently spoke to The Daily Beast about the flower show drama. The friend explained that Middleton and Prince William failed to coordinate the visit with Buckingham Palace.

The pal also made the jaw-dropping statement that Prince William and his wife do not need King Charles’s permission for every outing and royal engagement.

The media outlet noted: “Asked if that meant the visits would have been actively coordinated between their offices, the friend said no but added: “William and Kate are now very senior figures, as the coronation made clear. Charles wouldn’t have needed the queen’s permission to attend the Chelsea Flower Show, and Kate doesn’t need Charles’ permission to go to the Chelsea Flower Show. It’s a massive storm in a teacup. Charles couldn’t care less.”

That emboldened statement might not amuse His Majesty, who waited over 70 years to have the spotlight on him and his reign.
