The world witnessed a fantastic interaction between two high-profile royals during King Charles III’s coronation ceremony.
There was a tender moment between Prince Harry and his aunt, Princess Anne. The pair were seen sharing jokes and conversing about the seating arrangements.
King Charles’s sister asked Prince Harry if he was happy in the third row. He replied that all was well and told her to enjoy the lavish ceremony.
It was also claimed that Prince Harry did meet and chat with his aunt during a secret dinner that was held the night before the coronation.
Prince William and Kate Middleton skipped that family gathering. The unexpected exchange between Prince Harry and his aunt gave many royal watchers a glimmer of hope that a reconciliation was possible between the Montecito family and the royals in London.
Some already predicted that Princess Anne would be the one who would sit down with King Charles and Prince William to plead Prince Harry’s case and broker a peace treaty between the three men.
However, according to a royal expert, that is unlikely because Princess Anne is also profusely furious at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for the wild revelations and humiliating accusations.
Via interviews, a hugely successful Netflix series, and the tell-all book Spare, the Duke of Sussex caused irreparable damage to the Royal Family and the British monarchy.
During an interview with OK! royal expert Jennie Bond said that the princess was “absolutely furious” with Prince Harry, but the crowning of King Charles and Queen Camilla “was neither the time nor the place.”
She stated: “It was entirely natural to stop and chat with her nephew with whom, I think, she got on pretty well over the years rather than cause some kind of public scene.”
It is believed that behind closed doors, Princess Anne was deeply upset by the way Prince Harry caused much angst to Queen Elizabeth II.
The royal commentator shared: “It was better to be amiable, but I am quite sure that deep down, Anne has been absolutely furious with Harry for upsetting her mother, his grandmother, so much in her last years. And for all the allegations he’s made, I’m sure she’ll be very unhappy with them, but this was neither the time nor place to discuss all that, so I mean she, I mean, they look very relaxed together.”
Bond continued by saying: “She would have just put things on one side a little bit, but I’m sure she is angry at the damage he’s done to the royal reputation because she works so hard. I don’t know how strong the relationship between them is, but Anne works so damned hard, so hard for the constitutional Monarchy, and anything that damages it would make her very angry.”
Bond went on to compare Princess Anne to her mother, Queen Elizabeth.
She said: “The Princess is a very straight down the line and blunt person and doesn’t pretend anything. So when the family was imploding, but she had a job to do, she could just put that to one side and get on with the job at hand. And I think Anne’s probably a little bit like that.”
The Duke of Sussex still has a lot of work to do.
