Kim Kardashian is painting a clearer picture of the end of her union with Kanye West. After seven years of marriage and four children, there was a form of lassitude creeping in.
Mr. West has himself to blame for the relationship going south because his antics became too much for his ex-wife. Love was no longer enough to keep the different pieces together.
Fans are now having a glimpse into what happened between two of the most famous people on the planet. On the June 1 episode of her family’s show, Kardashian opens up about the shocking ordeal in a conversation with her mother, Kris Jenner.
The SKIMS founder said that some of the statements West made about her family were particularly hurtful. It was impossible to move past them because they were so wild.
First, Kardashian was hurt by West’s decision to constantly talk about her sex tape with her ex-boyfriend, Ray J. The “Gold Digger” rapper spent months going back and forth on the topic.
At some point, he even pointed out that was not the type of future he wanted for his daughters. Kardashian explained: “Even how he looks so down on me for my sex tape, brings it up all over town, all over the media. Like, thanks for reminding people once again.”
She continued: “All of his shenanigans is going to be far more damaging to the kids one day than my tape will ever be, and I have to sit here and not say anything, ever, because I know one day my kids will appreciate that. And I know that is the best thing for them.”
Despite a desire to say more, the reality TV star always keeps the well-being of their children — North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm — in the back of her mind.
She stated: “I still feel the need to not talk about it and protect it from my kids, and I always will feel that way, but God if people knew … I just would never do that to my kids. It just is really crazy.”
Kardashian was also tired of cleaning up after West’s provocative foray into social commentary. Eventually, the different remarks about the Jewish community led to the downfall of his empire.
The ex-girlfriend of comedian Pete Davidson revealed: “Sometimes I feel like if he were to hit rock bottom, that’s his journey that he needs to figure out on his own. I used to run around and call everyone behind his back and be like, ‘It’s going to be OK, it’s going to be OK, don’t worry. Just give him another chance. I used to spend hours and hours and hours of my day to be the cleanup crew. I just don’t have that energy.”
Kardashian also shared how she was able to shield the children from all the drama. The 42-year-old bombshell claimed: “[North] actually doesn’t know, and that’s what’s so crazy. When stuff is said, it’s a chain to my whole household. No TV, only Apple TV. I can’t risk an Access Hollywood … or anything on the news coming up with their dad mentioned, and they want to watch. I have to figure out a way to protect, and so they still haven’t seen anything, but then I go into crisis mode.”
After a little visit to the confessional, she dug a little deeper. Kardashian pointed out: “I’m the one being accused of so many things and being blamed for so many things, and it’s really hurtful, and it sucks. But, I can control how I react, and I can control if I’m a mess, [and] then my kids will see that … I really do believe in my soul that one day, my kids will appreciate my silence, my understanding, and my grace, and I will try my hardest to keep it together at all times.”
Interestingly, Kardashian is reminding people how valuable she was to West’s billion-dollar empire. The statements show why it will be difficult for West to rebound without such a team player.
West, 45, is married to 28-year-old Bianca Censori.
