King Charles Bluntly Denies Heartbreaking Story About Prince Harry And Meghan Markle’s Daughter

The relationship between King Charles III and the royals in Montecito is very complex, but there is still something there, according to the latest statement issued by Buckingham Palace.

On Sunday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s daughter, Lilibet, celebrated her second birthday.

Prince Harry missed a court date in London because he wanted to be in California to help his daughter mark the beautiful milestone.

Unlike the previous year, Prince Harry and Markle did not share a new photo of their daughter with the world. Another humongous change this year is that no Royal Family members acknowledged Princess Lilibet‘s birthday.

It was expected that Prince William and Kate Middleton would ignore the child’s special day because they are locked in a nasty war with Prince Harry and Markle over the bombshell revelations in the Netflix series, the interviews, and the best-selling memoir Spare.

King Charles blasts reports he ignored Lilibet’s special day

However, royal watchers were left baffled by the fact that King Charles failed to wish his youngest grandchild a happy birthday. The move from His Majesty was called a royal snub at the highest level.

Reporters were quick to reach out to King Charles’s Buckingham Palace to ask for an explanation for the heartbreaking move.

The Palace responded via The Daily Beast to say that King Charles did not ignore Lilibet’s birthday. It was apparently done in private.

The statement from royal officials claimed that the official social media pages of the Royal Family did not acknowledge Lilibet because of a change of protocol.

Only working members of the British royal family receive public birthday messages — that implies Prince George of Wales‘ 10th birthday will be celebrated on July 22nd.

The Daily Beast explained: “Buckingham Palace insists that the king was not snubbing his granddaughter, Princess Lilibet, this weekend when official social media channels ignored her second birthday. Some reports characterized the omission as a deliberate snub, but a palace source said it had “never been protocol” to share formal birthday wishes for non-working members of the royal family or their children on “official channels.” It must be noted, however, that the birthdays of Lilibet and Archie were celebrated last year by royal social media accounts.”

King Charles makes a private gesture toward Lilibet

The source had this to say about King Charles’s private gesture: “The birthday wishes to the second child of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have been shared privately.”

Another insider claimed that King Charles reportedly gifted Lilibet with a cubby house. The source stated: “King Charles had had his aides looking at a custom-made cubby house, similar to what the Queen and Princess Margaret had when they were girls.”

His Majesty‘s gift was inspired by a cubby house that Queen Elizabeth II received at the age of six.

According to Yahoo, the massive cubby house called “Y Bwthyn Bach (The Little Cottage in Welsh) was a gift from the people of Wales and stood on the grounds of the Royal Lodge in Windsor. It has since been passed down to Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.”

King Charles was determined for Lilibet and her brother, Archie, to have the same experience as his other grandchildren.

Inside Lilibet’s patriotic birthday party

According to a royal expert, Markle and Prince Harry went above and beyond to give their daughter an all-American birthday to mark the day.

Jennie Bond told OK! Magazine UK: “I would expect to see a sprinkling of celebrities and a laid-back party, which hopefully will include some other toddlers. It would be nice to think the day might include a video call to Lilibet’s grandfather, King Charles III, and hopefully, some sort of gift has been arranged and will be delivered to Montecito for her birthday.”

The Royal Family knows how to keep a secret.
