Remy Ma Makes Surprising Revelation About Herself

Remy Ma Papoose Birthday Age

Remy Ma is living by the motto that age is nothing but another. This week, the femcee (born Reminisce Smith) from New York celebrated her 43rd birthday.

Remy Ma’s husband, Papoose, threw her a lavish surprise party that included many celebrity friends — Fabolous, Mase, and Fat Joe.

The reality TV star donned a glittery/gold dress for the soirée. The artist was grateful for the people who attended her event and took the mic to say a few words at some point.

Remy Ma, famous for speaking her mind, decided to make an unexpected revelation. The host said that she does not consider herself to be 43 years of age.

Remy Ma explained that she subtracted the years she spent in prison and the ones during the COVID-19 pandemic. Remy Ma was released from prison in 2014 after serving six years.

She was imprisoned for assault, weapons possession, and attempted coercion in connection with an argument she had with a friend, Makeda Barnes-Joseph.

Remy Ma had an argument with Barnes-Joseph and shot her as they struggled in a car. She told the attendees: “When they told me I was having a dinner party. I was really surprised because I really don’t like anybody at all. Like, at all. But everybody here, I love and genuinely have a love for…and I appreciate everybody coming here for my 35th birthday.”

Remy Ma went on to explain why she is 35 years old: “I got everybody in here number. We call, text, we talk s—… so I appreciate all of y’all coming to my 35th birthday. I don’t f—ing count the ones when I was in prison, and I don’t count the ones from COVID.”

Remy Ma’s devoted husband, Papoose, took to Instagram, where he posted a video of the event.

In the clip, Remy Ma could be seen flaunting her figure in the gold gown. The birthday gal is also seen mingling with her pals while dancing to good music and sipping on champagne.

The rapper had the following caption for the post: “Surprised the Queen @remyma with 1 of her fav rappers. Felt good to see her genuinely surprised & happy. She’s made my born day special so many times. This was well deserved. Peace to the Harlem Legend, my bro @rsvpmase. Real people do real things. Peace to @roseaym @hennessy @tunecore’ Head of Hip Hop.'”

Many fans took to social media to let the femcee know that they support her decision. Mariah Carey lives by a similar concept, and she does not have birthdays. Instead, she celebrates anniversaries.
