At the beginning of his reign, King Charles III made it known that he had some massive and glorious plans for the monarchy and the Royal Family.
His Majesty is determined to slim down the monarchy — only a handful of working royals will carry on with the “heavy load.”
Princess Anne publicly made it known that is a terrible idea after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down from their duties, and Prince Andrew became a shame to the family.
King Charles’s next big idea is a tremendous extensive world tour. His Majesty believes it is necessary for himself, Queen Camilla, Prince William, and Kate Middleton to travel to multiple countries to meet with the people of the United Kingdom and the 14 other Commonwealth realms so they can keep the monarchy alive.
In recent years, several countries have either announced or hinted that they were cutting ties with Queen Elizabeth II to become republics.
Barbados left the Commonwealth in late 2021. Jamaica, Australia, Belize, and The Bahamas might take the same direction and become republics.
There is a growing movement pushed by Republicans in the UK that calls for the end of the monarchy because it uses too much taxpayers’ money to fund the lavish lifestyle of the Royal Family.
For all these reasons, King Charles devised the plan to have the Royal Family attend as many royal functions and take as many trips abroad as possible.
King Charles and his wife, Queen Camilla, will visit the US, Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Bangladesh (France is still up in the air) to “extend a hand of friendship.”
There is a list of countries lined up for Prince William and Kate Middleton to visit to build momentum for The Firm.
Catherine, Princess of Wales, and Prince William disagree with King Charles’s grandiose plan
However, Catherine, Princess of Wales, and the heir to the throne disagree with the decision. Prince William and Kate Middleton are the parents of three young children — Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis — and they are not interested in leaving them in London with nannies for long periods for overseas ventures representing The King.
Royal expert Jennie Bond spoke to OK! and revealed that Prince William and his wife are hugely popular and would be ideal for helping King Charles boost the monarchy’s image; she added: “William and Catherine are really the stars of the Royal Family these days. They have youth on their side, and a good dusting of glamor surrounds them. They are also extremely popular both here and abroad. So there is no doubt that the foreign office will be calling on them to carry out some high-profile royal tours.”
However, there is a possibility that Prince William and his spouse will defy His Majesty because they have made it a point to prioritize the well-being of their children.
She went on to say: “But I think the days of lengthy tours, leaving the children to be looked after by nannies, are over. Largely, I think the school holidays will be respected, and future tours will be short and extremely busy.”
King Charles forging ahead with his mission despite causing tension with Prince William and Kate Middleton
This might be a source of tension between the King Charles and Wales couple. According to The Mirror, King Charles believes the upcoming months will shape his reign, and he has some impressive goals laid out.
A royal source told The Mirror that His Majesty was keen to “hit the ground running in these crucial first few months and years of his reign.”
The royal staff member added: “He certainly wants to carry on the long-held mantra from his late mother of being seen to be believed and is very keen to get out and meet as many people as possible.”
The King has to change hearts and minds.
