Prince Harry And His Wife Meghan Markle Put Their Feet Down Against King Charles With Surprising Letter

King Charles III‘s heart might have been in the right place, but Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are very protective of their children, and they put their feet down.

The latest report from royal insiders revealed that His Majesty had special plans for his granddaughter, Lilibet‘s second birthday.

Prince Harry’s only daughter celebrated her special day on June 4. King Charles, who has met his youngest grandchild just once, had his staff devise the ideal present for the child — a fancy and very pricey custom-made cubby house.

Queen Elizabeth II was gifted a giant cubby house, which has since been passed down to Prince William and Kate Middleton‘s children — Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

A source claimed that His Majesty wanted Lilibet and Archie to have the same experiences as their British cousins.

A royal source told OK! magazine: “He wants to give Lili something she will use and be hers. She’ll remember it forever — it’s going to be the ultimate surprise.”

King Charles fails with his gift

Another royal source revealed that Prince Harry was not happy about the present and bluntly warned King Charles about sending such an extraordinary gift to California.

The person in the know stated: “Harry has warned Charles [however] to be less extravagant.”

The source also explained that King Charles and Queen Camilla wished Lilibet a happy birthday — but it was done privately.

They did not put a birthday message on social media because Lilibet, who is two years of age, is not a working member of the Royal Family.

The source shared: “King Charles and Queen Camilla wouldn’t share any official birthday wishes for little Lili online because they don’t mark the birthdays of non-working members. They, of course, wish Lilibet a very happy birthday, but nothing will be put out on any channels.”

Prince Harry and Markle are grateful for the perfect gift from a kind stranger

Two days after Princess Lilibet‘s birthday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had a letter that might have irked King Charles.

It was confirmed that Prince Harry and his wife, Markle, received a touching gift for Prince Archie, who celebrated his birthday on May 6. Prince Archie turned four on May 6, the day of the King‘s Coronation.

Prince Harry’s son received a heartfelt gift from Martin Watson, the co-owner of Mad Dogs & Englishmen, a bike store located in Montecito.

Watson, who is British, traveled to the Duke and Duchess Sussex‘s home and delivered the shiny red bike for Archie and flowers for Markle.

This week, he received a beautiful thank you letter from Prince Harry and Markle that read: “On behalf of Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke, and Duchess of Sussex, please accept their sincere thanks for the thoughtful gift you sent to Prince Archie for his fourth birthday. The bike has brought much joy and is most appreciated by the family. They asked that I convey their gratitude at the lovely surprise.”

The note was signed by Harrison Colcord, who is the couple’s private office. Royal watchers see the bike as an appropriate gift while King Charles’s expensive cubby house was not.
