The Royal Family was looking for a reason to paint Meghan Markle as persona non grata, and they did not have to look far to find it.
Meghan Markle has caused her fair share of damage to the monarchy, but even after she has stopped talking, King Charles III has decided to use her words against her.
Many predicted that a reconciliation would take place between King Charles and his youngest son, Prince Harry, after the coronation ceremony. However, that has not happened.
And according to a royal expert, King Charles has decided to move further away from Prince Harry, and Markle will be blamed for it.
In an interview with Express, royal commentator Camilla Tominey said that Markle’s leaked letter to King Charles has made it almost impossible for a reunion to take place.
She explained that the King and the Royal Family are in “no hurry whatsoever to bury the hatchet.”
The commentator told the media outlet: “The emergence of a letter written by Meghan to the King, expressing her concerns about unconscious bias in the Royal family, seems to have put paid to any imminent hope of reconciliation.”
Tominey is speaking about a letter that was leaked days before King Charles’s coronation ceremony.
It is not known how, but The Telegraph obtained a private letter that Markle wrote to King Charles after the devastating Oprah Winfrey interview.
King Charles wrote to Markle after the interview to say that he was saddened by Markle’s experience.
Markle attempted to explain to King Charles the reasons why she brought up racism and the painful comments made about her children’s skin color.
The former actress also revealed the name of the royal who made the insensitive remark. In her letter, Markle thanked King Charles and insisted that she wanted to discuss unconscious bias, not racism.
Via her spokesperson, Markle rapidly issued a statement to reassure King Charles.
She stated: “The Duchess of Sussex is going about her life in the present, not thinking about correspondence from two years ago related to conversations from four years ago. Any suggestion otherwise is false and frankly ridiculous. We encourage tabloid media and various royal correspondents to stop the exhausting circus that they alone are creating.”
It seems that despite her efforts, Markle failed, and King Charles is using the letter to strike back.
An insider told Us Weekly: “There’s no doubt he wishes to avoid Harry and Meghan until he sees some positive change on their end.”
From a certain angle, it looks like King Charles is kicking Prince Harry and Meghan Markle while they are down.
In the past few days, the Montecito royals have been hit with a long list of devastating news. They lost their Spotify deal and were ridiculed by one of the bosses and called “grifters.”
Bill Simmons, head of podcast innovation and monetization at Spotify, had this to say about the failed deal: “I wish I had been involved in the ‘Meghan and Harry leave Spotify’ negotiation. ‘The F—king Grifters.’ That’s the podcast we should have launched with them. I have got to get drunk one night and tell the story of the Zoom I had with Harry to try and help him with a podcast idea. It’s one of my best stories … F—k them. The grifters.”
Shortly after Bill Simmons, veteran British journalist Patrick Christys left Prince Harry red-faced with embarrassment by leaking his wild idea to have Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Pope Francis as guests on his podcast to talk about their childhood trauma.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are in uncertain waters with their Netflix deal. According to the Wall Street Journal, Prince Harry and his wife are having a tough time producing solid content for the streaming giant.
