The family of actor Jamie Foxx has finally decided to give an update on his health, and it is good news. The singer and comedian is said to be recovering well after having a mysterious medical emergency earlier this year.
The family issued a statement this week explaining that it is true that the Oscar-winning actor is dealing with health issues. The statement did not reveal why Jamie Foxx was hospitalized and did not give a clear update on his condition.
It went on to share a big and wonderful piece of information that will delight his backers: he is recuperating well.
The statement said: “We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.”
The family, consisting of Jamie Foxx’s two daughters, Corinne Foxx and Annalise Bishop, went on to ask for privacy at this time as they deal with the sensitive matter.
The statement concluded with: “We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”
In April, while filming the Netflix movie Back in Action with Cameron Diaz, Jamie Foxx fell ill and was rushed to a nearby hospital.
Since the incident, there has been a heavy mystery surrounding Jamie Foxx’s illness and his recovery.
There have been conflicting reports on Foxx’s health, with some media outlets claiming the situation is dire and others saying that he is out of the hospital and doing well.
According to Page Six, Foxx was recuperating in a clinic in Chicago that specializes in stroke recovery, traumatic brain injury rehab, spinal cord injury rehab, and cancer rehabilitation.
In the past few weeks, a few celebrities have spoken about Foxx’s medical emergency to say they are as concerned and clueless as the public.
Foxx was not present for the red-carpet premiere of his latest movie, They Cloned Tyrone. The movie’s star, John Bodega, was quizzed at the big premiere.
He confessed that he has not been able to hear from Foxx and added: “No one has heard from Jamie. I wanted him to show up here, but, you know, I know he’s dealing with what he’s dealing with. I just wish him all the best. Furthermore, I’ve been calling, and I am just going to keep on calling.”
Boxing legend Mike Tyson, who has been planning a biopic starring Foxx, made this alarming revelation about the star: “He’s not feeling well. They said it was a stroke. I have no idea what happened to him.”
The Daily Mail claimed that Diaz, 50, had not spoken at all to Foxx and feels “guilt” about their disagreement on their latest project.
Connie Kline, the mother of Corinne Foxx, told Page Six she could not comment on Foxx’s health.
