Jamie Foxx’s Family Gives Emotional Update On His Recovery After Mystery Health Issues

Amid chatters and speculations, sources and close friends of actor Jamie Foxx have decided to shed more light on his health struggles.

The 55-year-old actor was hospitalized in April after suffering from a mysterious illness. This week, a person with knowledge of the matter spoke to Page Six and revealed that the Oscar and Grammy winner is indeed back home where he is recuperating after being hospitalized in Chicago.

The source also shared the star is not quite feeling like his old self. The family friend gave an emotional update to PEOPLE Magazine: “He is getting the best care and working hard to recover right now, but he is still not himself.”

According to the person in the know, the filmmaker has the love and support of his family, including his two daughters — Corinne Foxx and Annalise Bishop.

The insider stated: “He has the tightest circle around him.” The pal declined to reveal the mystery illness that Jamie Foxx has been battling.

Famous friends of the comedian and singer have revealed that they finally have been able to speak to Foxx since his April hospitalization.

John Boyega did a brief interview with PEOPLE Magazine to say that he had a telephone conversation with The Django Unchained star after many failed attempts.

Boyega stated: “He finally picked up the phone. Thank you, bro. They Cloned Tyrone. He’s doing well. And then, you know, we [are] just giving him the privacy, and we can’t wait for his return.”

He added: “I gave him the well-wishes directly. I gave him all the well wishes. So I’m just gonna be waiting until he comes back out here. So take your time, Jamie. We love you, bro.”

Foxx’s co-star and friend Porscha Coleman told Entertainment Tonight explained that she has been in communication with “people very close” to her Dad, Stop Embarrassing Me! cast mate.

Coleman told the media outlet that the person close to Foxx has given her the health update: “He’s resting. He’s well. And he’s going to be back. Trust and believe. He has always valued his privacy.”

She explained: “If you’ve noticed, Jamie Foxx has always been on the low. … Even when it came to dating. Once I heard the news, of course, I reached out, but how Foxx is doing it is how Foxx should be doing it.”

Datari Turner, who co-produced the new film They Cloned Tyrone, appears to be in direct contact with Foxx.

He said this about him: “He’s doing amazing. I promise you. Doing really, really good.”

He went on to share the happy news that Foxx will return in front of the cameras again soon.
