Selena Gomez is enjoying the summer glow of 2023.
The singer and actress took to social media this week, where she posted a handful of pictures as a reminder that she has always been that girl.
Gomez set the internet on fire in the first photo, where she is wearing what seems to be red lingerie that features a deep neckline.
The pop star is lying down on her side with her earbuds in as she gazes sexily at the camera. A close look at the photo shows that Selena Gomez is wearing very little makeup other than pink lipstick.
In the second photo, the 30-year-old is on her back wearing the same gorgeous nightgown as she stares ahead. The purpose of the seductive shots was to promote a self-tanning line.
Selena Gomez received tons of comments about her natural glow. She was also told that she has a perfect skin tone and does not need to be tanned.
Other commentators claimed Selena Gomez looked different in the photos and accused her of using filters or Photoshop.
However, a majority of people were focused on the scandal du jour — Selena Gomez’s surprising decision to unfollow a long list of celebrity friends.
Last week, Selena Gomez had fans a bit concerned after she went on a massive and brutal unfollowing spree.
The Only Murders in the Building actress appeared to have unfollowed former friends, including Zayn Malik, Gigi and Bella Hadid, Dua Lipa, and Zendaya.
Note that reports claim that Gomez and Malik were dating. Malik and Gigi Hadid had a lengthy romance, and they share a daughter.
A source told PEOPLE Magazine this about the unfollow drama: “There are absolutely no hard feelings with anyone she unfollowed.”
It seems that there is some drama in the air because Gigi Hadid has shown Selena Gomez the same courtesy by unfollowing her account.
It is not immediately clear why Selena Gomez has pushed the unfollow button, but in a recent interview, she hinted at a complex relationship with social media.
Gomez explained that she limits her time online to avoid stress and anxiety. The diva told Vanity Fair: “I would constantly be crying. I constantly had anxiety.I couldn’t do it anymore. It was a waste of my time.”
She added: “The only thing I have on my phone is TikTok because I find it to be a little less hostile. There are wonderful things about social media: connecting with fans, seeing how happy and excited they are, and hearing their stories. But usually, that’s filtered through [for me now]. I created a system. Everything I do I send to my assistant, who posts them. As far as comments, my team will put together a few things that are encouraging.”
Gomez can grab headlines whenever she feels like.
