In a sit-down with Greatest Hits Radio, the actress revealed that she has no plans to retire because she would not know what to do with herself.

Dolly Parton made this confession: “I can sit around and do nothing. I would never retire. I’ll just hopefully drop dead in the middle of a song on stage someday, hopefully, one I’ve written.”

The comment broke many of her fans’ hearts. Parton, who has been a force in the music industry for more than 60 years, went on to say that as long as her health allows it, she will continue to come up with projects, music, shows, and business ideas to keep her fans happy.

She went on to say: “As long as I’m able to work, as long as my health is good, and as long as my husband is good, I mean, the only way that I would ever slow down or stop would be for that reason … But in the meantime, I’m going to make hay while the sun shines.”

Indeed, the iconic musician has no plans to stop; Parton will release her 49th solo studio album, Rock Star in November.

She revealed during the interview: “I have new dreams every day…I’ve got lots of dreams.” Parton is hoping to launch her own network television show and is working on makeup and wig lines.

Parton said her motivation to keep going comes from her desire to achieve each goal she sets.

She explained: “I always believed that if you’ve wanted your dreams to come true, and you are lucky enough to have that happen, then you’ve got to be responsible because you gotta keep the dream alive. And every dream kind of spawns another dream.”

The country music legend is a true force of nature.
