For the past three years, Prince William has been winning the PR war and King Charles III‘s heart.
While Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, were bashing the monarchy and the Royal Family, Prince William took on the role of the perfect son and heir.
It seemed for a period of time that Prince William and his father had a harmonious accord, and they worked in tandem to punish Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for their damaging revelations.
The father and son also put on a united front on how to promote and protect the institution after the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
However, since the coronation, it seems that Prince William has joined the dark side and has decided that he and his wife, Kate Middleton, will go the extra mile to shame King Charles and Queen Camilla.
The pair arrived late at the event, which aggravated the King. A few weeks later, Kate Middleton more or less declared a flower war.
Middleton made an unexpected appearance at a flower show that was also attended by King Charles and his wife.
Most recently, Prince William made a public and passive-aggressive move that clearly indicated he was determined to start feuding with His Majesty.
The Daily Mail revealed that Prince William has more or less evicted King Charles from his Welsh home.
According to the media outlet, Prince William has sent his father packing from the vacation property located at Llwynywermod after he declined to renew the lease.
King Charles purchased the three-bedroom house via the Duchy of Cornwall, which Prince William inherited after Queen Elizabeth’s passing.
The media outlet reported: “After September, it will be available for hire as a holiday home – much to the King’s ‘disappointment.’It means Charles must move his belongings and personal effects out.”
King Charles and his wife vacation for at least two weeks every summer at Llwynywermod, but this year he will have to rent it.
A royal source close to King Charles said he is baffled and vexed by Prince William’s move and added: “The King was quite miffed, but that was the deal. It means he can continue to stay there, but he will pay rent to the Duchy, and the rest of the time it will be rented out. The King has agreed to pay for the topiary upkeep, as he doesn’t want to see all the good work in the grounds go to waste.”
His Majesty is further angered by Prince William because he spent a lot of time and energy renovating the home.
The outlet noted: “Interiors were done by the Queen’s sister, Annabel Elliot, in an elegant but rustic style. The King, Queen, and Elliot invested a lot of time and energy into the renovation of the cottage, which has many thoughtful touches. In the renovated barn which now serves as a dining room for up to 16 guests, a huge new east window was designed by Hamilton.”
The royals have decided to use evictions as a new weapon against one another. This year, King Charles and Prince William happily and expeditiously booted Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from Frogmore Cottage.
Prince William and his father have been working hard to evict Prince Andrew from the Royal Lodge.
