This week, it was revealed that Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, are not expected to travel to Scotland for the annual summer break with King Charles III and the rest of the Royal Family.
Robert Jobson, a royal expert, revealed via Express: “But Harry and Meghan, and the King’s other two grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are not expected. They have been given an “open invite” to join family gatherings by the Palace, but no personal olive branch has been extended by the King for the summer getaway. ‘There is not much dialogue, if any, between the King and his second son.'”
It was claimed that Markle, Prince Harry, and their young children, Archie and Lilibet, were not formally invited to stay at Balmoral Castle.
The drama surrounding Prince Harry and Markle’s visit to Balmoral Castle has always existed. In his book, Battle of Brothers, the royal author explained that the pair were once asked to travel to Scotland by Queen Elizabeth II, but a verbal explosion took place that led to them canceling the trip.
According to the royal expert, Prince Harry and Prince William had a showdown of epic proportions over one of Meghan Markle’s shocking and controversial decisions.
Markle was asked to guess edit Vogue‘s special edition titled “Forces for Change,” which focused on women who contributed and changed society.
Meghan Markle selected 15 “brilliant female change makers who have had a laudable impact in recent times and who are set to reshape society in radical and positive ways in the future.”
Among the change makers were Jameela Jamil, Greta Thunberg, Gemma Chan, Laverne Cox, and Jane Fonda.
Many were baffled by the fact that Markle declined to have Queen Elizabeth on the cover. The royal author revealed that Harry and Prince William had a “showdown” over the magazine.
It is believed that the heir to the throne was not pleased with Markle’s choice not to highlight Queen Elizabeth’s legacy. Queen Elizabeth, who ruled for 70 years, did not meddle in politics and never commented on important social issues.
Prince William deemed that his grandmother should have been honored by Markle and attempted to discuss the matter with his younger brother.
