Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, spent the past three years going after the Royal Family for mistreating them.
However, after getting burned by the British royals’ reactions, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex signaled that they were ready to turn the page on their old ways.
The power couple wants to focus on a more upbeat message. Moreover, there will be less bashing of the Royal Family moving forward. The Montecito pair is hoping that King Charles III will see their efforts and open the door for peace.
However, the Royal Family is still giving the Sussexes a form of silent treatment. The British royals do their absolute best to pretend that the couple does not exist.
While the Royal Family will spend a portion of the summer with the King on vacation, the activists did not even get an invitation.
It seems that the snubbing is not going to stop there. The royal clan is getting ready to pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth II on September 8, one year after her passing.
So far, the Sussexes are not included in the list of those who will be present at the gathering. To make matters worse, the power couple will be in Germany for the Invictus Games the same week.
It is clear that scheduling conflict cannot be the excuse here because they will be in Europe. The Sun reports that “no outreach” has taken place about the commemorations for the late Queen.
A source told the publication: “There hasn’t been any outreach to them.”
The couple has gotten the message and seems ready to mark the somber moment in their own way. The insider revealed: “If they are not included in any of those plans they will find a way to mark the significance in their own way.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have no other options than to turn to each other for some solace. King Charles and Prince William appear firm on their stance to keep them very far after the Oprah Winfrey interview, the docu-series Harry & Meghan on Netflix, and the shocking Spare memoir.
Moreover, the couple has a lot on their plate. After the end of their contract with Spotify, it is time for them to rebuild their brand. They are also dealing with incessant divorce rumors.
This week, they put out a video where they appear quite close. Royal observers believe that they will have to do way more to quiet the breakup claims.
When it rains, it pours. As top celebrities like David and Victoria Beckham continue to distance themselves from the Sussexes, Markle is being accused of being a bad friend.
Paul Burrell, the former royal butler, told GB News: “[Meghan] will use people and drop them when she’s finished with them. The Beckhams don’t need Harry and Meghan, they’re A-listers in their own field, they don’t need them.”
It is obvious that a true reset is overdue. However, King Charles is not the one who is going to make the process easier.
