In the upcoming weeks, King Charles III is set to send out a double-edged request to Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle.
His Majesty will gather his entire family on November 14 to celebrate his 75th birthday.
It is believed that His Majesty will have a low-key affair so as not to irk the British taxpayers after spending several millions on two coronation ceremonies.
On his first birthday as King, it is claimed that he would love to have all of his grandchildren at the family gathering.
Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their children, Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, are expected to attend.
King Charles will extend invitations to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, so he can spend the special day with Prince Archie, 4, and Princess Lilibet, 2.
According to one royal expert, the King is not offering the olive branch that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been demanding.
Royal biographer Angela Levin did an interview with The Sun where she revealed that His Majesty wants to have the Montecito royals at the gathering, but they will not get an apology if they attend.
Levin shared: “Charles would want Harry and Meghan’s children there. If Harry and Meghan want to make an excuse, that’s their decision.”
The royal commentator warned Prince Harry and Meghan Markle by saying that they would be rejected by the Royal Family if they persist in digging up past grievances.
She stated: “If Harry wants to go to get an apology, then he can get lost.”
The royal expert went on to share a few details about the fall event, saying King Charles has been forced to read the room and take the UK’s economic crisis into consideration.
The Sovereign will have a simple “family-oriented” affair so as not to frustrate English taxpayers.
Levin added: “Charles is all about the public and not being extravagant. He really cares. There were parties after Harry and Meghan’s wedding, but it wouldn’t be appropriate now. Times are hard, and people are struggling.”
This birthday invitation is two-edged because Markle has made peace with the great divide. Sources told PEOPLE Magazine, the former actress has finally moved on.
So it is possible that she would want to attend so Archie and Lilibet could bond with their grandfather. However, the same source told the publication that Prince Harry finds his family dynamic complicated and painful.
It is not clear if he wants to be face-to-face with the relatives he claims have caused him generational pain.
Additionally, rumors are still claiming that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have yet to move past the idea that they will never get an apology from the British royals.
