A lot has been said about Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, since they made their romance official.
After they moved to California, they were tagged as attention-seekers. In a piece published on Express, a PR expert explained that the pair is seen as huggers of the spotlight.
Prince Harry and his spouse have grabbed major headlines because of their business ventures. Markle became a podcast host, while Prince Harry is the author of a bestselling memoir.
The Montecito couple starred in a docuseries and have given paid speeches. The two personalities often make waves and create drama with revelations and accusations that reflect badly on members of the Royal Family, including King Charles III, Queen Camilla, Prince William, and Kate Middleton.
GoUp’s PR and reputation management expert, Edward Coram-James had the following to say about the way the pair is viewed: “Often, when the narrative doesn’t go the way that the principal wants, they try to wrestle control of the narrative and forcefully demand the perspective, storyline, or exposure that they want.”
The expert went on to reveal how Prince Harry and Markle could work to change their reputation by saying: “Actions speak louder than words, and if you want to persuade the world that you’re not an attention seeker, a very good way to do that is to lay low for an extended period of time. A very bad way to do it is to continue with high-profile publicity campaigns.”
However, it seems that Prince Harry and Markle have decided it is time to grab the bull by the horns and dramatically change what is being written about them.
With the Heart of Invictus and the Invictus Games, Prince Harry and Markle have decided to prove to the world that they can be of service to humanity and fight for a cause that is bigger than them.
According to royal author Jennie Bond, Prince Harry is set to remind the royals what they lost as he puts his inspirational, emotional, and passionate side on display for this noble cause.
Via the Telegraph, she wrote: “In Heart of Invictus, we see the best of Prince Harry: someone who can genuinely empathize with the emotional void so many injured soldiers feel. He listens to their incredibly moving stories and encourages them to tackle their issues, revealing the depths to which he himself sank. It is a noble aim and Invictus has become one of Harry’s defining achievements. There have been five Games since the inaugural event in London in 2014 and, in a week or so, this year’s Games will open in Düsseldorf. Harry will give another inspirational speech. He is at his absolute best when he’s amongst his military family: confident, proud, and authoritative.”
To help her husband, Markle will be present to deliver an uplifting speech about courage and resilience.
The Invictus Games are when the best of Prince Harry comes out, according to the author, who shared: “The success of the Games does, though, remind us of what we have lost in this once so popular star of the Royal Family. Despite his grand heritage, Harry has a gift of the common touch: an easy connection with the public, a mischievous sense of humor, and a basic likability that’s hard to emulate.”
However, there is no sign of real detente with the Royal Family.
