After Joe Jonas set the narrative about their divorce, Sophie Turner took her sweet revenge by teaming up with his ex-girlfriend and megastar Taylor Swift.
The two ladies shocked the world on Monday night as they stepped out in New York looking like models on the runway. The actress showed off her impressive physique in a summer crop top and long pants.
As for the Grammy winner, she went for a fall look composed of a brown dress, a long jean jacket, and boots.
Turner and Swift walked arm-in-arm as they entered a famous eatery for dinner and a were having lengthy conversation about universal matters.
Earlier this month, Joe Jonas filed for divorce from Sophie Turner in Miami. The pair has been married for four years and have two children together.
The Game of Thrones actress and the pop star issued a statement that read: “After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage.”
It went on to say: “There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”
The confirmation of the divorce was followed by a long list of rumors that painted Sophie Turner as a party girl who abandoned her children.
A source told TMZ: “She likes to party; he likes to stay at home. They have very different lifestyles.”
Another insider spoke to Page Six to say that the Jonas Brothers frontman did everything in his power to save the marriage.
The friend told the media outlet: “Divorce was a last resort for Joe. He never wanted to break up his family, but he had to take what he felt was the best course of action for his girls. An unhappy home isn’t a home, and the truth is that he and Sophie were going through it this year. There’s a lot of noise out there, but it wasn’t a straw-that-broke-the-camel’s-back situation like it’s being reported.”
The insider claimed that the estranged couple had “many disagreements,” and the split was inevitable.
The source shared: “It just kept building, and Joe finally reached a point where he felt that he had exhausted all options to salvage the marriage.”
Some fans believe Swift and Turner united just to give their famous ex a symbolic middle finger for his behavior.
Sophie Turner is also giving Joe Jonas the middle finger in the courtroom. On Thursday, Turner sued Jonas for “the return of their two young daughters to her home country, England.”
According to Page Six, the court documents filed in a Manhattan court demand “the immediate return of children wrongfully removed or wrongfully retained.”
Turner also slammed Jonas for holding the children’s passports. Jonas responded by saying that “wrongful retention” is a big and incorrect word for this situation and added that the children are currently with their mother in New York.
