The cooling down of the relationship between Prince Harry and his father, King Charles III, is seen as something positive by many royal observers.
However, it is a headache, or a real conundrum, for Meghan Markle. This week, there was a major shift in the narrative from King Charles’s side of the Atlantic.
After the brutal decisions to evict Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from Frogmore Cottage and ban Archie and Lilibet from appearing at his coronation, His Majesty decided to make a kind gesture toward the Montecito royals.
King Charles believes the time is right to be the unifier in chief. He is the King of England and the patriarch of his family, and he is eager to unite the British people and his two children.
To achieve that goal, King Charles is looking into offering Prince Harry a temporary apartment. King Charles is also looking into his extremely busy schedule for an opening to potentially meet and talk with Prince Harry.
Jerome Cleary, a PR expert for Publicity and Marketing, told Daily Express: “Now that the dust has settled with the drama of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, the King realizes he could bring the family back together again. With that, I do believe the King should allow Harry a place to live in Britain and keep him as Counselor of State.”
The commentator went on to say: “I think the reaction from the royal fans if the King denied Harry a residence in the UK would be a mixed bag. Half the fans would believe that the King is within reason to deny Harry, and the other half would be heartbroken that the King could bring the family back together again with this decision.”
The path to hell is paved with good intentions. King Charles’s good deeds towards Prince Harry have put him in an impossible position with Meghan Markle.
The former actress is vexed by the fact that Prince Harry is clinging to his old life in London. Speaking to OK!, entertainment commentator Mark Boardman continued: “Meghan is frustrated that Harry wants his old life back. Meghan loves Harry, but she wants to bring out the better side in him.”
He added that Markle is fearful that Prince Harry’s return to London might lead to mischievous behavior and undesired media attention.
He said: “And she’s quite clear on the roles that they should take together and they are trying to work better together on projects. People are eager to witness a transformed Harry, rather than a return to his previous partying lifestyle, which could lead to undesirable media attention.”
He further added: “[Harry] appears to have distanced himself from his college friends and lacks a permanent UK residence. During his visits to London, he typically resides in hotels and avoids public appearances. Undoubtedly, Prince Harry longs for his old friendships.”
The Duke of Sussex is not ready to let go of that side of his story.
