Sometimes, he brings the humiliation on himself, and other times it falls on the entire Kardashian family like a very bad episode of Jerry Springer.
This week, a comment made by Kim Kardashian opened the door to the basketball star’s latest mortifying situation.
In the confessional on the Hulu series The Kardashians, billionaire mogul Kim Kardashian revealed that she owes a lot to Tristan Thompson, who has been present in her life during her most recent struggles.
Kim Kardashian revealed that while going through her bitter divorce from Kanye West, the NBA star stepped up and played an important role in her children’s lives.
The SKIMS founder said that while Thompson failed as Khloé Kardashian’s boyfriend, he is a great friend and father to at least two of his children.
The businesswoman claimed: “Oh, I know guys are gonna hate me for this, and you’re gonna hate us, and you’re gonna think Khloé is whatever … It’s so crazy because he’s such a good friend, and he’s such a good dad … but he just couldn’t get it together in that area, of like being a faithful boyfriend.”
She added that Tristan Thompson made the lives of her children — North, 10, Saint, 7, Chicago, 5, and Psalm, 4, a bit easier while she battled it out with Kanye West.
She revealed: “When he saw me struggling with my kids, he stepped up. He started showing up at their (sports) games. He picks Saint up, takes them to dinner, and will always come to my defense, especially if it’s stuff like me and my ex. And I just like never forgot that, so it’s like, I’ll never really throw someone away and act like I don’t feel like they can’t grow and evolve.”
Kardashian’s revelations about the athlete rapidly went viral, and he was destroyed on social media for being a terrible father.
Thompson is present and even lives with the two children, True and Tatum, whom he shares with Khloé Kardashian.
However, Thompson has completely neglected Theo, the son whom he shares with Maralee Nichols. And it has been revealed that Thompson is only a part-time dad to his oldest child, Prince, whose mother is Jordan Craig.
Jordan Craig’s sister, Kai Craig, took to Instagram, where she shared a lengthy statement detailing his nonrelationship with 6-year-old Prince.
Kai Graig also took the opportunity to slam Kim Kardashian for being one of the many people who enabled Tristan Thompson to be an absent father.
The angry aunt stated: “It has been so hard to refrain from speaking up, and out of respect for my sister’s privacy. I haven’t for over 7 years, but this is just too much. It’s so painful to see how Tristan can find the time to do these nice things for others but can’t seem to show up and be a real parent for my nephew Prince.”
She further exposed the father of her nephew by saying: “The fact that he can take other children to school and activities in the same city, yet never sees or speaks to his own son, unless it’s for a party or planned photo opportunity, is appalling and inexcusable.”
Going directly for Kardashian, she wrote: “@KimKardashian I don’t want to believe that you are this insensitive to the fact that he literally ignores his children. That’s nice if he’s been a good friend to you, but let’s consider our sisters before taking to global platforms to defend this man’s character.”
Thompson has a lot of critics out there.
