Kim Kardashian is making some huge changes in her household, and she was shocked to discover that Kanye West is indeed a changed man who is on board with her decision.
In the latest episode of the Hulu series The Kardashians, the billionaire reality TV star explained that she recently decided to hire a male nanny to help raise her children.
The SKIMS founder shares sons Saint, 7, Psalm, 4, and daughters Chicago, 5, and North, 10, with the rapper.
Kim Kardashian, who divorced Kanye West in 2021, confessed that she wants her oldest son, Saint, to have a male figure around. She also opted to employ a nanny to be present for Saint because she finds she is not strict enough.
Kardashian stated: “It’s really hard for me to be really strict and to discipline a lot. My parents weren’t strict at all and sometimes because I’m really busy, it would be amazing if I had a partner who would tap me out and take over and handle it but, you know, it can’t happen like that.”
She continued by saying that she was afraid to tell Kanye West about the male staff member.
Kardashian told the millions of viewers: “I do think that my household and even our family is very female-dominated. I recently hired a manny. I wanted a male around who would be picking them up and taking them to sports, and I was scared out of my mind to tell their dad that.”
Kardashian claimed that she was greatly surprised by the way her ex-husband reacted when he first met the male nanny.
The businesswoman also revealed what West did that day reminded her that it is important to have him play a role in his children’s lives.
She said: “When he was dropping off the kids, Kanye introduced himself. They played two-on-two with Saint and him. He’s been so nice to him, like ‘Hey, if you’re going to help raise my son’ — because he handed him the ball really easily or something — he’s like, ‘Don’t do that, have him get it himself. It’s some of the rules I would want.’ And I was like ‘Oh my God, okay.’”
Kardashian spoke for all mothers by saying that despite the chaos, confusion, and struggles, it is wonderful to watch them grow up into the people that they are ultimately going to become.
She revealed: “Motherhood is the most challenging and rewarding experience of life. The days are so long but the years are so short. I love the night snuggles, I love our morning madness before school — I love it all. Even when it seems overwhelming, I know that my babies will grow up and I will wish for the days of tantrums, cute little PJs, bath time, and book time. So, I cherish it all!.”
The beaming mother added: “Each one of my babies is so different, and I love that and try to nurture that.”
West is now hoping that the public will be as forgiving.
