There is a new line of couples that has emerged in Hollywood, and it is claimed that Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, fit the bill.
According to an expert, Prince Harry and Meghan are like Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Barack and Michelle Obama, or Meryl Streep and her husband, Don Gummer — these relationships are simply too big to fail.
In the past few months, Prince Harry and the former actress have been hit with multiple reports claiming that they are heading for a divorce because of their decision to split some of their businesses and for taking part in activities without the other one.
Markle’s estranged family piled on to say the marriage was doomed from the start. Rumors ran wild and loud that Prince Harry was one stressful moment away from returning to England and begging his father, King Charles III, for an apartment.
Relationship expert Louella Alderson explained that, for many lucrative reasons, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will likely stay united.
She said: “Harry and Meghan make a lucrative team, and their joint ventures have the potential to continue bringing in substantial income for their family. While they have their individual endeavors, their partnership has proven to be beneficial for both of them professionally too. Especially as a couple who have brands built on their relationship.”
She went on to add that if God forbid, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to dissolve their marriage — they would never announce it or take many years to announce it.
It is in their best interest to keep the status of the relationship a secret. They would attract a lot of unwanted media attention for them and their young children and lose major deals if they were to reveal the end of their romance.
She stated: “For starters, the media attention surrounding the end of their relationship would be difficult to deal with and they have their children to look out for. It’s common for celebrities to maintain a united front in the public eye … they may choose to present themselves as a strong and happy couple, even if they’ve actually been living separate lives for years.”
Alderson continued: “This is typically to avoid the inevitable media attention and speculation and to protect their image and brand.”
Another relationship expert, Kate Mansfield, shared her opinion by saying that the public scrutiny surrounding Markle and Harry’s relationship has only made them stronger.
She said: “They have the additional royal family complications and duties. The pressure to stay together as a family unit is far greater than it is for other couples.”
She explained that the romance has evolved, and they are now in a “space and independence,” which is why they work and play separately.
She said: “However, I personally don’t see Harry and Meghan being anywhere close to an ‘unofficial’ split. It could be that they are smart and see the value in making sure that they have a healthy relationship, which includes space and independence, as well as family time.”
Mansfield continued by reminding the world that the royals are great at keeping their lives secret. She said: “We only have to look at Charles and Camilla to know that for sure, royals can indulge in secret affairs, even over a long period.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are in this for the long run, one way or the other.
