People, who like and dislike Meghan Markle, seem to have one thing in common: they cannot stop talking about her, her actions, and her words. Markle is the conversation.
Recently, royal experts and political pundits have formed a think tank to answer the question du jour: what does the future hold for Meghan Markle — the all-American girl turned actress turned royal turned controversial personality?
Many believe that her path has been laid out since she was a child. The little girl, who attended an anti-war protest and was passionate about social issues, wrote to Hillary Clinton and called out a major company for its sexist ad. She was born for the political arena.
One expert weighed in to say that after seeing a celebrity like Donald Trump dominate the political world, Markle will certainly throw her favorite black and white Panama hat in the ring.
A major Democratic donor close to California Governor Gavin Newsom told the Daily Mail: “Meghan is definitely a long shot, but in the craziness that is US politics these days, it’s not an impossibility.”
Now the question is: when will Prince Harry‘s wife take her big leap of faith?
Speaking to Express, Clive Irving, author of The Last Queen and royal columnist at the Daily Beast, shared: “She will use her status to promote her ambitions. I think it will become clearer in a year or two when the children are a bit older whether she goes into politics.”
In the past few years, Markle has not attempted to erase the political storyline.
Au contraire, she made moves to confirm it. It is believed that Markle had a lengthy Zoom call with California Governor Gavin Newsom when he had to replace then-Sen. Kamala Harris after Joe Biden picked her as his running mate to go against Donald Trump.
Last month, Meghan Markle allowed her name to fuel the “new round of rumors around Diana Feinstein’s replacement without any official denial.”
True Royalty TV co-founder Nick Bullen told Fox News that people close to Markle say that her ambition reaches all the way to Washington DC and added: “I’ve heard from some very reliable sources that she is writing to people to try and secure political positions. I think that is absolutely an ambition for her.”
Markle as Madame President would be pure chaos and uncharted territory for King Charles III, Prince William, and Kate Middleton.
He went on to share it would be uncomfortable, bizarre, and fascinating to watch. He said: “It’s a very plausible argument. I think it would be fascinating. Imagine a world in which she does make it to the White House. [Prince] Harry is the first husband. There’s a state visit, and what happens then if Meghan is hosting [the British royal family] at the White House? You’re going to want a front-row seat for that, aren’t you?”
Some observers say that Markle might lack the egotistical drive to go all the way.
